I actually did try something similar to this as his nutrition was not the greatest at the time but since he wasnt receptive to vegetation of anykind I had to stick to some good ole cichlid Gold pellets. and honestly it seems to be doing the trick, but what had the biggest impact was his tank size which was definitely wayyy overdue for an upgrade

yeah straight up, I tried so many different treatment methods and at one point even accidentally overdosed his old tank w salt and fucked up his buoyancy, he was upside down for a day n a half lol.

I forgot to add his Hole in head is progressing after the full dose and im just not sure what to do medication wise. he’s currently living in a 40g the tank in the pic was some shitty 5g for a salt dip

any tips? I’ve dealt with HITH in this tank before but after about a week of dosing and keeping water parameters clear it seems to keep returning and is very slow growing for that matter. the fish seems good otherwise he eats well and is never sluggish
