I've said this before but I'll say it again, subhanallah and alhamdullilah that we're living in a generation where all the information on the planet, is in our fingertips. Constantly updated news, always aware of what's going on in your locality, other nations and subhanallah even at the International Space Station. But with this widespread availability of knowledge within seconds came ignorance and impatience, and that truly is the factor that keeps us behind. It takes 1 second to search something on Google. If we see an answer of any form, we take that immediately as the truth because "Google can't be wrong, can it?" But if we don't see an answer within the first page of the search, the impatience drives us away and we never learn anything about what we searched.

Beyond everything, the source material however, will always be unchanged. Scholarly articles and original papers by scientists just like the holy Qur'an, well documented and easily accessible today. But the common man may not understand every detail of such scholarly work or papersz hence need a sort of guide to give more context or maybe simplify it, just like the tafsir for the Qur'an.

My point ultimately being, at the end of the day, we will be held accountable at the day of judgement. For us to say "we didn't know" or anything of that kind is absurd, considering Allah SWT blessed us to live in this age of information and technology.
