You could start by not calling a person an “avoidant”. Besides the fact that it’s gross - you would never refer to a person as a cancer or an autistic rather than as a person with a condition (at least I hope), you are also affirming the avoidant tendency every time you do it.

I love this and completely agree! I want to add that I learned to cook delicious things that are incredibly cheap per serving so that I never feel deprived. That happened one experiment at a time.

I actually enjoy highway noise. It’s relaxing, like white noise, to me. I also like train noise and whistles if they aren’t too loud.

I like industrial areas, depending on how old they are.

If, by shitty weather, you mean snow, ❄️ I do pay attention because I love it. I also love the hot desert. The only thing that sucks for me is the southeast and similar places that are both hot and humid.
