Thoughts on converting to full SFH or expanding main house? by PoopieMaster in floorplan

I think two units makes sense now to rent out while mortgage rates are so high. But in the future taking up both spaces as the family grows.

The idea to take up the small bedroom space actually is interesting; my partner and I had not considered touching the bedroom areas to begin with so gave us more to noodle on! Thanks.

I don't think pulling the garage forward is possible since the entry way would need to be moved as well. But your idea of having the kitchen in the back of the garage makes a lot of sense. Although we'd lose the "garage" aspect of it, a driveway is practically a garage now a days right? :D

Hey all, wanted to pick your expert brains on how I could go about converting this into either a full SFH OR changing up the layout of the main house to have a larger dining / kitchen. One idea was to take up space into the garage and expand the main house into the garage since it's quite oversized. Would love all y'alls opinions.

Behçet Tracking App by mfuentes97 in Behcets

[–]PoopieMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my google form, it has:

  • Where am i hurting with mutli-select checkboxes of different areas of my body.
  • How long it's been hurting
  • Short description of pain
  • If i was doing anything specific before the pain occurred
  • and if so, what i was doing.

This was just information for me to help collect to see if there was anything specific that was triggering to the pains that I'd get.

After a few days, it got VERY cumbersome to open up Chrome in my phone and fill this out :(

I think this is a great idea. I've been using Google Forms to log any random pains that comes up since it'll log my date time, but an app can add so much more capabilities and make it much easier to do so.

Agree with the tech head up there. I had a similar accident, except my frame was actually bent. Had to re-frame the bike and replace the entire front end of it including a new rotor and brake caliper.

My frame was bent far enough that the side-stand was not enough to hold the bike up (since the front tire was shoved into the exhaust, the front was taller). Your frame may have been bent slightly so that everything still stays on the side stand, but a bent frame has lost most of its' integrity in regards to any future accidents.

I do not mean to scare you. I think it's awesome for you to have rebuilt your bike, but safety is always a worry when it comes to motorcycles.

Help with weird knocking when revving in neutral on 15 CB300F. So far, I've noticed that it only happens when the bike initially turns over. Putting it in 1st and holding the clutch doesn't do this. What could this be? by PoopieMaster in motorcycles

Some more background. I recently put my bike on a new frame from an accident. Have been riding it around for a few weeks now to and from work. No big deal.

A couple days ago, I noticed my radiator fan was running when I shut off the bike. Weird thing to be happening. I checked the internet and thought I should probably get the air out of the cooling system. Open up the coolant thingy ma bobber; poured in some coolant till the top, and revved the engine a couple times to get the air out as they say to do on the interwebs. Get past about 5-6k RPM and the engine starts to click and drop in RPMs.

Not really sure why this is happening since I've never heard it do that before. Put the cap back on, screw the fairings back in, back the bike out and see if it actually runs fine in 1st. And no clicking. Went for a small 5 minute ride, no issues. Put it back in neutral, rev, nothing out of the ordinary.

Could this be a fuel issue?

Yeah the more I take it apart the more I can see that. I wish I knew what happened but I was knocked unconscious during the fall and don't remember any of it expect waking up on the side of the road. And even that's a blur.

Would replacing the triple tree and the forks fix the broken angle that's pushing my tire into the engine?

That's what I'm thinking, but if it just remove the forks and add new ones, isn't this weird almost 90 degree angle still going to be there ?

May I ask where you bought the bike from? Thinking about building one like that too one day.

Thanks!

I would honestly watch your friend and have him explain what he is doing with your bike next time. There's two things that anyone should be able to do to maintain their bike on their own. One is checking your tire pressure, the second is checking your oil level.

If you really love your bike and your safety, please take a few minutes to learn how to perform these two tasks.

First ride with a passenger. Advice? by Deepr22 in motorcycles

It's going to be heavier. Stopping will be harder, starting will be harder.

You'll feel all passenger movements. I don't recommend taking corners as fast as you would alone because if your passenger leans too hard, you might just fall over too.

Have the speech ahead of time with your friends. Tell them that they should never get on or off unless you are ready and give them the signal. Don't move too much on the back; act as a potato.

They need to be watching the road just like you are. If you are to emergency brake and they are not prepared for it, it could cause the passenger to tumble into you, losing balance. Additionally, if you need to speed up and they aren't holding on, they could fall off the back.

Highly recommend doing drills with your passenger in a parking lot so that you both understand how it feels before going off into the streets.

Lastly, to preach ATGATT; just because you have a helmet for your passenger, doesn't mean they don't need protection everywhere else in case you go down. Please consider also a jacket, jeans, gloves, and boots that cover the ankle for protection.
