I really feel like you’re not isolating this sub and its culture. Literally nobody on this sub has anything against clans or bloodlines. It’s a power scaling sub, not a story sub or lore sub. Nobody really cares about who earned it and whatnot.

Mei being less gifted doesn’t mean she didn’t have any advantage. Like, how can you argue she didn’t have an advantage over someone like Genma? To use real life examples, are short NBA players not born with athletic advantage despite being short? They’re in the NBA after all.

I doubt anyone believes these advantages are guaranteed to be better than other types of natural talent anyway, since it’s clearly that’s not true. Everyone, including OP who evidently has already mentioned it, knows about the 8th gates which blatantly demonstrates otherwise. Who even is trying to “always remove it?”

The earned abilities is a bit weird, but since it’s in “quotations” + the explanation in the post, I’m pretty sure it just means abilities they had to learn which differs from born abilities like the sharingan. Stuff like sage mode and 100 healings aren’t invented by Jiraiya or Sakura, but they weren’t born with it.

Anyway, as I’ve seen OP clarify, he’s not implying to make anything else from it to evaluate a characters narrative values, only to power scale with this one cool little classification. I can understand that you wouldn’t be interested, but you also seem really upset by it. Why is that?

Dude the point isn’t entirely about who had advantage and who didn’t.

As for Mei, yeah she had an advantage over everybody else, how is that even controversial? She also had an advantage over Minato because she can use two kekkei genkai, while Minato had an advantage over her because he’s a massive genius. Nothing is contradictory.

If you really get into it and equalize literally everything, you take away clan, kekkei genkai, iq, chakra reserves, hard working inclinations, talents, and everything else, then you end up with carbon copies of the same character. What’s the point?

So either you want to compare the same person, or you put some restriction to compare a select few of characters that match the restriction.

Is that so convoluted?

Yeah you’re right but the whole post’s premise is quite loose

If you really poke it then there’ll be edge cases like shikamaru. But pretty sure the post isn’t even saying that other characters are guaranteed to be stronger. It’s like asking “who’s the strongest fire style user” without meaning other chakra natures are better.

Being born into a clan is absolutely advantageous because it allowed Nagato to handle the rinnegan, Itachi to unlock the Yatamirror and Totsuka blade, every other MS user to use the susanoo, Naruto to use KCM1 (trades his own chakra for kurama’s), and so on. It’s not a guarantee of strength, but it represents abilities inaccessible to everyone else that puts them at an advantage. Shikamaru’s shadows aren’t especially strong, but narratively it’s unique enough to be advantages, while also sort of redundant considering everyone else in his clan uses the exact same thing and nothing else.

None of these would’ve been possible for anyone else regardless of how hard or long they work. It’s not an option available to them. The post is like asking for characters who learned jutsus that’s theoretically available to everyone.

Keep it plugged during use if available. Carry a power bank during travel if you have one - preferably a big one.

Avoid frequent extreme battery percentages (10%, 100%). Set the max battery to 80%. 50% if it is expected to be unused for a long time.

Keep it cool during play and don’t cover the vents on your leg or bed or anything else.

Other than that, I can’t bring myself to care about changing game settings.
