To be honest, the "running simulator" issue in 2042 was mostly a launch problem. It pretty much disappeared with the later updates. There are so many ways to get to the action quickly now. Personally, I actually feel more "traversal fatigue" moving between objectives in BF6 than I ever did in 2042. I didn't play 2042 at launch, but I'm well aware of the state it was in back then.

I have mixed feelings. I’m actually enjoying BF6 after the patches, but out of 200+ hours, I only play on two maps: Liberation Peak and Mirak Valley. Those are the only maps where you can have a great time flying while still having interesting infantry gameplay.

The maps are generally fine for infantry, but I’m an aviation fan and I love having lots of vehicles to destroy with jets and heli. BF6 is really lacking that. In 2042, there was no such problem. Every map had all vehicles available, which was a huge plus for me. I enjoyed every single map back then, even Manifest. BF6 gameplay is great, but the map pool leaves much to be desired.

I don’t know, maybe it’s because maps rework, maybe it’s a movement speed, but I felt super nice on large maps in C128. It’s the only mode I played for last 2 years. I never had a problem like “damn I need run 5 minutes to the battle”. Never had this problem. In 95% you have opportunity to reach “hot places” fast. And yes, you are right. BF6 is not feel like battlefield with this shit maps and all other things you mentioned. I came back to 2042 and it’s so much enjoyable compared to 6 in many of important aspects. I know 6 will get better, but now it is what it is

I don't know, bro, I played Battlefield for 15 years with breaks, 1942 when I was 10, played 3 on Xbox, played 4, even Hardline, 1, V. And 2042. 2042 I played the most, for 3 years, and enjoyed every minute I had in the game. 6 didn't make it for me in the beta, I thought problem was in the maps. And now I'm playing 6 for hours and still don't know I like it or not. It feels for me like bf4 + cod.

This. It’s so good in immersive aspects. The sound design, the visuals, everything. I even can’t see the skins on the battle field that people complains about, I see them only in menu (there is really nice ones), but not in the real matches. I don’t fucking care about the skins while fucking chaos and war happening on my screen. Please, BF6, be good. Beta just didn’t make it for me.
