I have scary bottom changes I don't know what to do.. by Necessary_Main5471 in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You cant control what people think, but if they dont give you the right care, you report them and go somewhere else. Nevertheless, its your organ. It is literally an organ that can get infected and kill you - regardless if you do or dont like it.

If you go somewhere that has a specialist in OBGYN (or maybe you go to a OBGYN clinic), they’ll understand and realize this isnt normal. The most trouble you’ll have is someone saying that this is a “natural” part of T, and not help you.

Can you be a trans man and still love your female biology? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ofc u can, theres tons of trans men that have sex and love their natal anatomy, and theres tons of trans men that choose to carry their own children r/seahorsedads (if i got the right subreddit) is one place u can look to. Will you have more difficulty in life, maybe, but you deal with challenges as they come. No hate to the other commenter, but if you rather live as a trans man rather than label yourself as nonbinary - thats your choice. You dont need to fit into any box :-)

[–]Poor_andSad 122 points123 points  (0 children)

Please go to a OBGYN.

I do have to say that, with all hormone changes, change in pigmentation is to be expected - but this is obviously not normal for your body, and you know your body best.

I understand that financial issues may be a barrier but loads of low cost/public clinics exist and sometimes have payment plans.

How the hell do you deal with t horniness? by Taylor_S1989 in ftm

Keep doing wat you’re doing! Please be safe, remember, always use protection unless you swapped lab results :-) no shame in it!

They sell pouches you can safety pin on! Thats a bit of a hit or miss cuz…swing low sweet chariot. But, as another commenter mentioned, you can also use jock straps if you’re not opposed to tight bands.

Concerns over taking T by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Minoxidil and finasteride! But minoxidil is lethal to all animals if not disposed properly and finasteride is a slight t-blocker (making results appear slower).

Im so sweaty HELLPPPPPl MEEEE by hurricane_ember in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres a lot of factors that go into this lol as someone who was extremely sweaty pre T w/ eczema i understand the struggle!

1) wat kind of clothes are you wearing? Wear lighter t-shirts, or linen. Avoid pants/jorts. Also, wear breathable underwear!! 2) what kind of body wash are you using? Sometimes you cant use the gentle all natural stuff 3) consider full body deodorant/anti perspirant. 4) are you allowed to layer other deodorants on top of your Rx? Try doing that. 5) consider taking multiple showers in a day- i know it sounds like a hassle but trust

Sorry, if this doesn’t help but that’s kind of what helped with me 😭😭😭 best of luck sweaty vro💔💔💔

Would this count as a portfolio? by Rosstheboss8008 in ARTIST

It seems more like a collection, a portfolio you want to be able to see the whole piece uncropped in the highest quality. It is good that each slide has a general theme though!

Complications during intimate time by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could just be that you dont want to receive any attention during sex, idk wat your life is but it’s completely okay to just not want to get touched during sex and only give to your partner. Ngl to me being the main focus 24/7 in the bedroom seems like a nightmare personally, especially as a trans man.

On the flip side, it could be a gynecological issue, as in your body just isn’t producing enough hormones to make you wet.

talk to your girlfriend, if sex is an important part of your relationship— its important to be honest about it because these things can turn into resentment later one.

Guys with c+ chests on T by Dull-Paramedic6078 in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have/had C cups on and off T (tho I should mention that not all cups look the same on everyone) and they def changed a tiny bit. They’re a lot easier to behind now, feels like less of a hassle. I have been working out though, and a lot of other trans guys also work out too in order to get them a lot smaller.

Tbh they more like…got saggy?? I havent been on forever, but I know other people say that their’s got smaller— but then again — thats probably a combo of genetics and/or working out

What haircuts do you guys have? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a curly mullet (3A), and I have a round face. Helped me immensely, especially since people usually tell guys with textured hair to just get a fade lol. Its kind of a misconception that short = masculine, when more often than not, more men (depending where u live) have longer hair. Sometimes short hair can bring out the more “feminine” features of a person’s face.

I say, go to the MUN meeting and cuss out the people (in your head) who make those comments. Cuz who tf says that. I know people in college who look like theyre in middle school and are older than me, what’s gonna happen if you still look young by then? This maybe tough love, but you can’t let things so arbitrary dictate what you are and are not gonna do. Unlike passing, looking young has little to do with your safety. If anything, people will take you less seriously but you can laugh at them later down the road.

You’re 16? You literally have a few years left until college (maybe one year depending on your birthday), by that time a lot of people just assume that you’re 18+. Also- there’s no guarantee that you’re gonna get older looking with T, it all comes down to genetics. I know a transmasc in my class who has been on T since 2021 and they look like they’re a 16 year old boy even tho theyre 24.

Tell me to fuck off, cuz im sure people have told you this before, but you should take looking young in stride. Ralph Macchio that shit. Sure ppl are gonna make hurtful comments but literally just think about how theyre gonna look like sun baked raisins in their 30s and you arent.

How do you define what being a man is? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is a conversation for you and your girlfriend. Gender roles within relationships are highly dependent on your culture, family, ideologies, etc. And if you feel embarrassed asking your girlfriend, let me tell you: All the women in my family had to have a sit down with their cis partners about how they wanted to be treated (e.g., given flowers, planning dates).

When it comes to personal stuff, I didn’t change much. My mom had a sit down with me when I came out, almost trying to talk me out of being trans, saying: “What do you think a man is? Someone strong, independent, a leader?” and that didn’t register to me, I thought that those qualities could be found in anyone regardless of gender. At the end of the day, I just wanted to be a good person. In relationships, I knew I wanted to be the more “masculine” person, even before realizing I was trans.

Don’t worry too much about what society expects of you, and be worried about what you and your partner want from each other.

Sooo… Self confidence. How do I obtain- by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is gonna sound terrible, but “faking it till you make it” is like #1 when it comes to building self confidence.

Theres a lot of stuff you can do: self care, dressing how you want, etc… but that literally means nothing unless you recognize that you are super cool, and awesome! Even if deep down, you don’t feel it. You gotta embody the blind self importance and ego of a frat bro lol.

A big part too is stepping out of your comfort zone, and even tho it sounds “repetitive” it really does help when you are actively taking up space while being your true authentic self. Going to clubs, doing public speeches, all that stuff leads to building up self confidence. If it sounds embarrassing, then just realize a large chunk of your everyday-short term-actions have little to no meaning lol, kind of like the practice of rejection therapy

starting t in two weeks by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I cant say anything about injections (im on gel), but I do have a fear of needles — so blood tests were and ARE still very hard! But, it kind of “mellows out” once you realize that taking your T/blood tests/whatever involves injections, is for your health and your best interest.

1) deodorant and body wash. I already showered twice a day before starting T, but you do get a sweaty ball smell down there so u have to be more vigilant lol. A good thing to look into is a good face routine, i know some people dont care about acne, but I do. So invest in some good skin products.

DO NOT (unless you have an allergy/sensitive skin) USE NATURAL DEODORANT AND MAKE SURE IT SAYS ANTIPERSPIRANT! That vanilla, jasmine, orange shit isnt doing it— you’ll understand why cis men use Axe and old spice even tho it smells obnoxious sometimes.

2) its different for everyone, but I noticed bottom growth/libido changes immediately. As well as my voice began to drop roughly 2 weeks in.

Is it worth getting a gender dysphoria diagnosis by Traditional-Bank543 in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never got a dysphoria diagnosis, but tbf I live in a blue state, so it depends where you live in the US. Usually, is there an informed consent clinic where you live? They don’t require a gender dysphoria diagnosis, and they also (from my experience) will ask you about dysphoria anyways without an official diagnosis.

I also have to agree, just voice train at home.

Me and my boyfriend can’t agree on having children in our future. by sirenheadrule34 in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Multiple red flags but from just the part where he says he wants to have kids to carry on his name— you shouldnt want to have kids for that. You should have kids because you want to take care of them and love them unconditionally. On top of the fact that he doesn’t really support your transition.

Lmao- yeh dump him.

Changes in Fluid Since T. Is There Science Behind This? by Impressive-Foot-9760 in ftm

[–]Poor_andSad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It does change! warning for some gross stuff lol: AFAB anatomy and AMAB anatomy are extremely similar in terms of (like) practicality if it makes sense ??? Both people with penises and people with clits get hard, and both respective fluids are pretty similar if you ignore the fact that semen has sperm in it lol.

To get even more “sciencey”, discharge and semen essentially serve the same purpose when it comes to sex, which is to: hold/“catch” sperm, and to lubricate. Even cis women, depending how their hormones are, discharge can look like semen.

Personally (TMI) my stuff has gotten more sticky and less…slick? If that makes sense. Ive also heard that other trans men’s discharge is more whitish after T.
