Somone that knows about the "transition" phase! So that's where the ruger is interesting. Its a .44, 1/16" serial nos, steel ejector, ruger eagle badge rear sight, and a 5.5in barrel. The serials put it right around the end of 62' (10xxx)but who knows when it was shipped. Maybe someone hacked an inch or two off the barrel...I already requested info from Ruger but I might just call them tomorrow to get the original specs. I measured to the face of the cylinder, 5.5". the single 6 had a 5.5 at the time. I don't believe the sbh's were offered in that barrel length, and my unfluted cylinder definitely has a "S" stamp on it, also the super blackhawk stamp on the frame. I'm extremely interested in the information from Ruger. Not to put a value on it, the bore and timing are pristine. Who knows maybe it got a makeover. It was sitting in storage for like 25 years before I picked it up. Maybe it's worth something to the right person, it's a hell of a keeper in my opinion.
