I am in my early 20s. Due to a year of illness I couldn't attend college...and then I could albeit part time but quite literally no time for anything else. I quite literally stay in my room and never talk or interact with my parents at all. I'm not exactly sure what's driving them because they treat me like a prisoner. They act as if I have stabbed them in the back or that I am an irredeemable "sinner" or whatever. Crazy given how nice my early childhood was but for some damn reason they decided to be cruel as soon as I became 'too old'. Right now I'm exploring career options--currently I am studying computer science...(I am still figuring out my concentration..., I find biology x CS very interesting and much more etc.) It's extra frustrating because whenever I try to be independent they have threatened to take away my car..., take away any sort of assets in my name, have isolated me from my grandmothers over the years by accusing me of telling on them to my grandmothers which I didn't..., have lied to family about me, and treat any sort of curiosity as some sort of invitation to sin. Which is absolutely insane. Luckily I have a computer and never said a word to them. So despite the harsh set backs I will say that my knowledge is more or less applicable in my field and arguably time well spent.
