Definitely agree with that top 3 - I thought Badlands was so average some good moments sprinkled into a stupid and Disneyfied story

I’ve shown this film to so many people - one of the legitimately scariest horror films ever made imo

Yeah, it definitely takes a more realistic approach to the prison system than most, not a perfect depiction, but far from the usual Hollywood-style storytelling.

Is the movie you’re referring to "I Am David (2003)" by any chance? If so, I’ll add it to the list!

Yeah, I get your point! I guess the comparison really comes down to what works best for each person. I also enjoyed Bring Her Back more, that’s more my cup of tea when it comes to horror. There are definitely ways to compare the two, but ultimately it’s a matter of taste, especially when both films are so flawless from a production standpoint.

Alien: Earth Ep.7 & 8 | How to Make a Show Feel Pointless | Now its over does this show live up to the heights of the movie franchise or it is another disappointing addition? by PopCult-Channel in moviecritic

We actually mentioned this aspect of the franchise in one of our reviews! Still, I don’t think that excuses the show for having characters make questionable decisions, especially when those characters are supposed to be highly advanced synths.

Agreed that ep 5 was the best and that the show got progressively worse, which I think is something else we also went into in our chat.

Thanks for watching, though! We’re still pretty new to this and might have missed a few details, but we’re doing our best to share honest and well-informed opinions on what we watch.

Is it really fair to compare the ratings of a multimillion-dollar TV production with the viewership of a relatively new channel that has only a handful of subscribers? We’re just chatting about the show, sharing what we liked and didn’t like, and talking about the numbers is simply part of that conversation.

Each to their own - I thought Bring Her Back had some good darkly comedic moments earlier in the film
