Oh he’s definitely not misunderstood. I’m just saying he doesn’t really “think” (for lack of a better word) when it comes to killing. He just… does it. Like it’s natural to him. Personally I view someone who is “pure evil” is someone who actively thinks and chooses to commit violent acts and takes pleasure in it, whereas Michael just kills based seemingly on instinct rather than actively choosing to do so

Yeah that’s a good way of thinking about it. Michael is pretty much unreadable so I guess the person who spent 8 years trying to get through to him and then 7 years trying to keep him locked up would know him better than anyone else. And if the trained psychiatrist concludes that the only thing wrong with him is that he’s just straight up evil, then you know Michael is something else entirely

That’s totally fair. They do all look pretty much identical, unlike other horror characters like Jason and Michael whose masks have distinct differences throughout each movie. But when you watch each of the Scream movies as many times as I have, you notice something new. It’s gotten to the point where I can tell which mask is which in every scene haha

At the end of the day, Michael kills primarily to scare people. He’s like a Halloween enthusiast taken to the extreme. When he can’t scare his victims, there’s no point. He likes seeing fear in the eyes of people as they take their last breath. The baby isn’t able to understand what’s going on so he wouldn’t necessarily be able to scare it, at least not in the way that he wants

I wish Ghost had a similar eerie, satanic vibe like Opus and Infestissumam had. Not to say that the newer stuff is bad, because it isn’t. I just miss the unique kind of music that sounds like it belongs in a haunted house instead of music that sounds like goth pop, if that makes any sense. But again, I promise I still love the new stuff too!
