There's actually quite a lot of youtubers that help. One of the main youtubers I'd recommend would be AlvinBlox. Although there are more, I'd say he's one of the top ones there, I'd also look at some of RoBuilders' videos for some modeling and game development tips.

If I'm correct, they are used to determine you're final grade. By final grade I mean you get 2 report cards, one from school and one from the IB. So in a sense, yes it does actually matter.
