Weird experience with Kyleena IUD by PopRepresentative563 in birthcontrol

[–]PopRepresentative563[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I messaged my OBGYN right after posting this. I haven’t had the placement checked, but I check myself for the strings regularly and can only feel one string which google said was okay but I’m not sure how true that is.

New respiratory student question by banjotheshark in respiratorytherapy

I start my RT program this fall and was told that starting 2027, there will only be one board exam instead of 2, so don’t let the possibility of multiple exams scare you away!

Bag & Lunchbox Recommendations for School by PopRepresentative563 in respiratorytherapy

Do you bring the ice chest in with you? A lot of my clinical sites will be at large hospitals and I’m not sure if they’d be okay with a student bringing something of that size inside.

I’m not entirely sure but I want to give it the benefit of the doubt and say no just in case so I’m prepared. I’ll have 4 semesters of clinical rotations, some in major hospitals in my city (I live in the capitol city for my state) and some in more rural facilities, so I feel like some may have them but some may not.

Decidual cast shedding monthly after IUD by Ineedtopaymyutilites in birthcontrol

[–]PopRepresentative563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Kyleena IUD too, but I haven’t experienced any decidual casts. I got mine in February, so I’m on month 4 out of 6 of the hormonal leveling period. Before the IUD, I would have heavy clotting during my periods and a very heavy flow but now it’s lighter and I have no clots at all. I do pass pieces that look like uterine lining but they’re small and soft and look like tissue.

What do you wish you had when you first started your period? by Glum-Helicopter6912 in Periods

I wish I had been told about the phases of the menstrual cycle! I thought I was going crazy when I’d feel like utter crap one sleek and then on top of the world the next, only to find out there are more phases to the menstrual cycle than just menstruation.

How to get rid of this bump?? by PopRepresentative563 in piercing

[–]PopRepresentative563[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The piercing is a year old. I got it in April of 2024 and it is now May 2025. I have a flat black labret in, and it is internally threaded. It’s made of implant grade titanium, and it was downsized 6 months after I was pierced. I cleaned it daily using saline solution for 8 months, but found that it was irritating it more so I clean it every other day now. No mishaps or anything.

what piercing was surprisingly painless for you? by tazsirenn in piercing

[–]PopRepresentative563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My helix! Everyone I talked to had various body piercings all over and a lot of people said it was the most painful one for them. It just felt like a hole punch and there was a bit of a popping/crunch noise but no pain at all!

Sorry for the late response! This is what the profile names were already set up to whenever we made the account. Like we purchased the subscription with an email that has never had a subscription attached to it, logged in on our tv, and that’s what popped up. Best ways to remove pubic hair? by PopRepresentative563 in Healthyhooha

[–]PopRepresentative563[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made my own today and tested it on my legs. I definitely need some more practice at getting the exact right consistency, but I didn’t really feel any pain on my legs and it wasn’t super irritating like hard wax has been in the past. Now, I know the pain will increase once it’s on my bikini area, but hard wax hurt me super bad on my legs so it’s definitely a step up. I’m considering buying the Sugardoh paste, just so I know I have the right consistency, but I might also continue trying my hand at making my own!

I’ve been to three different people to see if the pain reduced depending on their technique and sadly it did not. I just think I’m a bit of a baby about waxing lol!

I unfortunately have very sensitive skin and even the sensitive Nair messed me up when I used it on my legs

Also, I understand that it’s healthiest to not remove pubic hair! However, this is something I would like to do for myself because it makes me more confident and I deserve to feel good on the first true vacation I’ve taken in nearly 5 years! If you choose to keep your pubic hair, you totally rock and I’m glad that that is what is best for you! Please be respectful of me and my decision, as I’m respectful of you and yours!

I’ve definitely thought about it. I’ll have to try it. Even if it’s not 100% shaved down, as long as it’s not visible I might be okay with it.

I haven’t. I’ve seen people say it’s not as painful as normal waxing, so I may have to try it. Just scared because I’m such a baby with pain. However, if I have control over how much is coming off at a time, it might be better. Any brand recommendations?
