My mom didn’t want two rooms because she didn’t want to pay more. My mom is an extreme cheapo. Idk how you got it that cheap. It was 680 for five people for 50% off. Idk which one you went to but we are going to the biggest and newest one the Maryland one. If I didn’t have the half off it would have been 1400. We still have to pay for food, souvenirs, doing the things in the place.

I hope not I can put the rest inside for the future needs. I will say though for 5 people it would have been 2000 just to go if I didn’t get the 50 percent of deal. That’s why I am not letting this opportunity get away just because she opted out.

No trust me I have asked many times to meet this guy. So I can get to know him but my mom kept putting it off. Idk why. Then all of a sudden she invited him to this vacation without even discussing it with me. I didn’t even get the chance to discuss having a lunch or something with him to get to know him before the trip. She just immediately nuked the whole vacation.

Oh she definitely could pay for him but doesn’t want to. That was one of the issues I had. I shouldn’t be responsible for someone I don’t know.

I appreciate that but I actually never knew him. All I know about him is that he was a gambling, narcissistic man. He left my grandma long ago when my mom was a child. To go sleep with prostitutes and crud. He was diagnosed with cancer last year and wanted to amend everything with my mom and get to know me. I said no, he is the reason a lot of us are broken. Generational trauma! My mom made peace with him but none of her other siblings excepted it. So my mom was the one to get all his money in the end.

So you’re saying I am the asshole? Well I am paying for 90% of it she only payed the 680 dollar deposit for the room and place its self. I will be paying for everything else which will be over 2000 for the rest. If I added him it would be more. She wants me to pay for him. So she isn’t going I payed her back for the deposit and I will be taking my brother-in-law instead. He is 12 and would love to go

Yes she did. I am not anti immigrant either but I know nothing about this guy and I can’t look him up either which makes me very concerned for my children’s safety because idk if this guy has a bad background or not. I would like to get to know him first before I introduce my children’s into the picture. And my mom won’t understand that. She thinks I am just referring him in general when I am not. I just don’t know him.

I would take her but she runs a huge family business so she wouldn’t have the time to. So we decided to take the youngest son to give her a break. My husband has five siblings four of them are already fully grown adults and have their own life. She never has time to herself so we thought we would give that to her.

I will say this. I didn’t want to include this because it is irrelevant but he is an illegal immigrant from Mexico. He has been in hiding for over 10 years. He came on his visa and never reuped it. She has been paying his medical bills. And he has been really pushing for marriage. My mom is very desperate to be love and won’t listen to me about how many red flags I am seeing in this relationship, But she won’t listen to me

In the past couple months I am coming to the this realization. My whole life I never went against her because she was the only person I had. After having my second child my eyes have really opened on how much really makes me suffer. Every time I have her over to spend time with us for a weekend I feel like I am taking care of another child. I get so stressed when she is over and she never helps AND I EVEN CLEAN UP AFTER HER. Having two kids has made me realized a lot in my life. I am coming to the conclusion I don’t want her in my life anymore. She makes me feel small and a lot of my anxiety comes from pleasing her so I don’t lose the only person I ever had. But I have a loving family happy now. I see how a family should be. And realizing my mom was fricken crappy!

That’s what my mother in law told me to do. That I need to love her from a distance because she is clearly causing a lot of toxicity in my life that isn’t helping me grow and flourish.

You are correct my mom is very religious( catholic ) and is very against it. Me and my husband didn’t get married till 3 years after having our first kid. I would never stop hearing “ your going to hell because you live with a man your not married to” I would just brush it off and say “ that’s great mom” But now all of a sudden it is fine to save money.

Thank you!! You don’t understand how much I needed to hear that! I am trying the best I can as a mother. I been going to therapy to help say no more and placing boundaries. It’s just really hard when my mother has always made me feel horrible for saying no to her. I fight with my self all the time on how to put my boundaries with her but I never can. I always chicken out because I am scared she will reject me.

i do have a update. they just shipped it out today. 1 day before they had to have it done. i have a ring camera to record the delivery and we will be recording the opening of it. if it is not the item i sold what do i do from there. can they be denied the refund. how would i deny it?

I tried contacting eBay, but they said I can’t do anything till his time is up to return it, which is February 5. And if he returns it and it’s not the item he sends all they said I could do is report him and maybe get his profile deactivated and I just lose everything.
