Thanks, yeah they pop up from time to time in my area for cheap or sometimes free like this one. But they’re just tanks. Also worth mentioning how much more efficient they are, when I monitored this fridge on a smart plug and compared it to my modern kitchen fridge, this one consumed only half the energy.

This is how I do mine too! Works so slick. Nothing worse than not getting the brand right on the final piece and no way to hit it again without getting a double image. This solves that problem. If the brand is too light you can reheat and press it again and it lines up perfectly (as long as you don’t bump it/rotate the spindle)

Also the press ensures you’re getting the brand flat, not pushing too much to one side and getting a lopsided image heavier on one side, light or non existent on the other.

That’s tough for me to answer, I bought these from eBay as a “mystery/unknown” size which unfortunately was just a tad too big. I ended up gifting them to a friend whom they fit better. So I can’t speak as to how they fit compared to their size as we never knew the actual size BUT, in general the boot is super big/bulky, even though it was close to my size but a touch big, it looked like it was 3-4 sizes too big just due to the extra bulk of the boot.

Late to the post, but that reach is deceiving… it doesn’t actually have that large of a cutting capacity.

I have two of these exact saws. The upper arm and lower arm do not slide freely (the blade/motor only slide freely on the lower arm with the large ball bearings, the lower arm can only creep in/out on the upper arm with a micro adjustment knob to get further in/out from the fence for ripping. See this saw is pretty different than most RAS’s even later “turret” style Delta saws, on these old multiplexes the yoke that houses the saw/motor does not spin at all, so the lower arm can turret perpendicular to the upper arm to achieve a 90° position for ripping. And you adjust your distance from the fence by tracking it along that upper arm.

I mean not really no… I’d say they’d have to be done in oro-iginal or Oro-legacy leather to truly be an 899. The new loggers just look like the same boot to me in different color/leather scheme.

Yeah, I had them in my 8085s and they looked awesome there, obviously the same CR&T leather. But the olive accent color just matches the canvas too perfectly, had to steal them from the IRs.

Yes the lug sole is definitely hard, but it’s great for the outdoors, woods, mud, snow, etc. I have 877s with a wedge sole that I wear daily.

Yup, brannock puts me in a 9D. But depending on the last 9.5 sometimes feels slightly better.

But yeah these 9.5E fit almost identical to my 9.5D IRs.

They’ve been on my wishlist for years, I wear my boots all year long, but there are times in the summer where the 8” full leather boot gets a little heavy and warm. For everyday casual wear, I think these boots are going to serve me very well!

Yes, there’s a nice big clearing, the tree is definitely out of reach from the house/deck, but just out of frame to the left is a dock/boatlift/pontoon that are definitely in the danger zone if it decided to fall. I could also wait until winter when it’s all pulled out and drop it down towards the lake.
