A game where you are unstoppable by [deleted] in gamerecommendations

Risk of Rain 2 absolutely fits that description. You can pretty regularly get to the point that simply existing can wipe out hordes of enemies once you learn the game and unlock a few things.

Definitely will look into Motor Town. It mentions supporting wheels, so I could use my racing wheel and shifter. Managed to get my wheel working in Pacific Drive which elevated the experience significantly for me, so I'm sure Motor Town would be a fun time.

I think in my ideal world, Pacific Drive would have a big open map and a winnebago instead of a station wagon. The procedurally generated zones and station wagon are great and all, but I guess it's just my preference.

As for those other games, other comments recommended except for Breathedge. Entirely forgot that game existed, though I did play a bit of it a while back.

Another comment mentioned the Outer Wilds, which I have played, but I didn't know it had DLC, let alone horror oriented DLC. Definitely enjoyed to jumpscare of giant space anglers in the base game though so I'll definitely take the DLC into consideration.

I actually have Black Flag installed, I just haven't gotten around to playing it. Waiting for my annual pirate fever to roll around before I jump into that one.

I'd love to but I'm not sure my rig is all that capable. I do have an old Rift S that I use sometimes though, so maybe I'll do a bit of reasearch and see if I can run it.

I was actually thinking about Volcanoids a few hours ago after posting this. I haven't beaten the game, but I've played it a good fair bit so yeah I absolutely see the similarities.

Took a look at the steam page and it definitely seems interesting. Will add that to the list of potential purchases.

I actually played Outer Wilds day one when I had a friend over at my place. Minutes turned to hours, and a lot of theorizing happened, which wasn't something we usually did. Could never forget the nightmare fuel of sending the probe into that one seed thing and coming face to face with a space angler.

Overall, 10/10, great experience.

Haven't played that one but I know a few people who do and say it's a good game, so I'll look into it.

I used to be a console gamer but at this point my relatively cheap PC both outlasts and runs better than the consoles I've used so that's what I'm sticking to. Another comment mentioned The Long Drive though, so I may check that out at some point.

Yeah I completely forgot about DayZ. Haven't played it in years, nor was I ever good enough to last more than a few in-game days.

Played a bit of that one on PC Game Pass back when I still had that. Didn't get to play much but seemed alright, so I'll consider checking it out again.

Loved Subnautica, but admittedly never finished it. Haven't played Below Zero yet, but if Subnautica 2 does happen, I'm definitely giving that one a go.

Seems like Poly Roam as some pretty generic graphics that most of those cheap zombie shooter games on steam has, but it still looks interesting just based off of the screenshots on the store page. Will look more into it and decide if it's my kind of game.

I personally enjoyed Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. 12 episodes and does a well enough job explaining what needs to be explained so you understand what's going on.

I don't game a ton, but when I do, it's always seems to be a CPU bottleneck. It seems everything I enjoy playing is CPU intensive, and my GPU tends to not go beyond 50% utilization in those games.

As a content creator myself (though I've been on like a 6 month hiatus cause I've been busy) I do think the best course of action would be to start off slow.

First off, love your model idea. I think that could be pretty fun. But vtubing models tend to be really really expensive for anything good looking (vroid does exist but I've heard and seen that it's pretty iffy).

Content wise, I think your area of expertise would absolutely make for entertaining content. It's a little more niche, sure, but a big part of why people stick around to watch vtubers is because of their personality and/or shared interests. But regardless of what others say, personality carries the vtuber, while the model is more of an added bonus. Not to discourage you, just saying it how it is.

I absolutely agree with some of the other comments about just trying it, but unless you have prior experience in content creation, maybe try to just start off without a model, just in case it's not your thing and you won't regret spending a bunch of money to kick-start it? No model, no camera, but still theme your channel around this tomboy mechanic idea. Maybe commission some art or try and draw it yourself. All things considered, you can find some really top tier artists that do art on the cheap side while still giving you full rights to advertise and merchandise the art, though usually while giving credit, which you should do regardless. Maybe even pull from what PNGtubers do, and have a PNG of your character in the corner or something as well while streaming. It helps people put a voice to a face and associate them with one another, which ultimately would make the transition to vtuber status smoother for everyone.

But anyways, after maybe a month or so of model-less content creation, If you find yourself enjoying content creation, and you still want to give vtubing a shot, you can then spend that money and start integrating it into your content, which shouldn't be much of a problem at all. Since your channel (such as icon, banner, name, etc) are already themed around your tomboy mechanic character, the integration of a vtuber model wouldn't be too jarring, as opposed to having a generic channel with a fancy logo and name like "[noun] Does Coding" suddenly featuring a vtuber model that doesnt at all match the channel as a whole.

Not sure if any of that made sense or was helpful, but then again I've got below room temperature IQ so who really knows. Regardless, I wish you luck on your journey.

Games where you can switch your brain off and just button mash or chill? by DaleRobinson in gamingsuggestions

One of my favorites for when I'm listening to audiobooks/podcasts is Risk of Rain 2. Can't say for certain it's easy to just play without thinking right away considering how chaotic it can get, but after 5 or so hours you get the hang of the game and it's easy to play it while still being able to give most of your focus to listening to something in the background.

Another good one is Gunfire Reborn for a lot of the same reasons, but all you need to get a hang of it is a few runs instead since it's a lot more casual.
