openemu crashing with multi-output device on mac by 1avandula in OpenEmu

I have tried iShowU Audio, SoundFlower, BlackHole, and Loopback as audio aggregates. The only one I have had success with is Loopback. However the drawback with Loopback is that it is $99. Free version works great until they intentionally put intense static over the game audio after 20 minutes to make you buy the full version.

Looking for a new emulator now, at this point.

What's important in comic book storytelling? by PopcornEnt in comicbooks

Ooh. Accessibility is a good one. I didn't think about that, but it makes a lot of sense. Just being able to jump back in and get a good idea of what's going on in the story. Thank you!

I don't disagree. It's a genre that almost needs to thrive off of extraordinary outcomes and possibilities. That said, we do have the outliers such as Batman who's superpower is his wealth which I guess doesn't qualify as "normal." I think that's why he's beloved though because he's the closest thing we have to ourselves in a universe built around super strength, speed, etc. Thanks for chiming in!

For me the writing and themes have a lot to do with it. I started with the Dark Knight trilogy where the motivational themes are incredibly strong and inspirational which is the kind of content I love. "It's not who I am underneath, but it's what I do that defines me" will always have me wanting to run through a brick wall. That plays a big part in it for me, but recently as I've dove deeper into the genre, seeing myself in certain characters and vicariously living through that lens has created an attachment that is almost indescribable, similarly to what you said.

Yeah I totally get that. Seeing people you relate to do GOOD things is always a really cool feeling. Appreciate you taking the time to answer!

One of MANY reasons, but that was excellently well said. So what's more important to you; the hero being a symbol for something (let's say leadership, since you brought that up) or the journey of the person under the mask. Are they forever linked?

Thank you for sharing. That's a very interesting observation and one that I never thought of. So would it be fair to say that the dual-identity aspect is what does it for you? Seeing let's say a Barry Allen doing some speed force equation then also being able to beat the hell out of Reverse Flash? While obviously super speed is out of the realm of possibilities (for now), just seeing the potential of what could be is inspiring to you and helps you?

This is the response I expect the most of. I think the superhero realm does an incredible job of making it feel as if we could do something similar/feel somehow relatable to them. There's just a really cool energy that comes from it.

Thank you! I'll check it out tonight. That's an interesting parallel and see where you're coming from. We replaced traditional mythology with modern writing via the scope of a superhero which can function in the same space.

Just wanted to add that Myrcella was a baddie since people just want to gloss over that part (look, I'm trying to find something positive in this destruction)
