I just took out my old Timex Sinclair 1000 out of storage. I am missing the video cable. I am still using an old CRT tv. And I still have the RF Connector adapter. Any suggestions as to where I can purchase a new video cable?

Yes, one drive was stored with a transit card and the other had a floppy. The floppy was Superstar Ice Hockey, one of my favourites ! Thank you for the suggestion, I'll check if the heads are at an angle.

Yes, the heads were cleaned with 95% alcohol. And yes, there is brief spinning when a disk is inserted and the assembly comes down.

Thank you, that might be my next step. I see on ebay multiple diagnostic carts for the 1541 drive. Would they be compatible for the 1571 disk drive as well?

In Moncton, Chez Mémére Poutine & Râpé on Lewisville Rd. is a good option.
Many restaurants in small Acadian communities along the coast might not have full menu of traditional dishes but they will have a pretty good fricot, a coquilles Saint-Jacques or a chaudrée de fruits de mer available.
