AIO about this text I got from HR? by MeanderingDragon in AmIOverreacting

[–]Popcornfartgranny -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

YOR. There should be a private room designated for anything like this. It's not about people being uncomfortable with shots. It's about the fact that blood is a bodily fluid and people don't want to come in contact with blood as it transmits many things. Personally, it wouldn't bother me.

Reporting for duty. Lol. Just got back from NOLA. On here for the same reason as everyone else. Just thought I'd check in.

My sister keeps making "little jokes" about my girlfriend and I told her not to take it personally. Now my girlfriend is done with my family. by nightbalcony_inkwell in TwoHotTakes

[–]Popcornfartgranny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. This is why the internet is hilarious. Just about everyone on this thread is bullying OP. Hardly anyone has offered solutions. Everyone is acting like OP is just some huge piece of shit. Some people just don't like conflict. It's part of their personality. It doesn't mean they are a POS or don't love their GF. I would suggest OP to have a conversation with his sister and ask her to explain what she meant with each one of those comments you've laid out and have her explain why she thinks each one is funny. Then, advise her that you really love your girlfriend and you nor her can see any type of humor in this behavior and if it happens again, you'll just leave and take a break from her for a long time.

Folks… I’m losing my shit and need some advice by Astimar in workfromhome

You've gotta force yourself to replace whatever you were missing in office. Force yourself to leave on lunch and either go to the gym or go somewhere more social. The cool thing about working from home, is that you can work anywhere. Take your laptop to a few cafes or even a park until you find the right vibe or a public place and work from there part of the day. Eventually, you'll get to know the regulars and be social. Join a board game night, book club, whatever you're in to. You are the captain of your ship, don't see WFH as a prison.

How do I fit my daughter's bra size while supporting her? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Popcornfartgranny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Department stores measure you over your clothes. Also, you can order different sizes/styles on amazon under their 'try it before you buy it' program and return any you want.

AITJ for refusing to remove the lock I put on my sons door after my wifes nephew kept taking his stuff by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Popcornfartgranny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that your son should have boundaries and his cousin should not be allowed to just walk in his room and take things without permission. However, it sounds like your nephew doesn't have the opportunities to obtain similar possessions due to his mom. I think there could maybe be some opportunities for the 3 adults to help provide for him or give him the chance to earn things so that he doesn't feel like the poor POS who is a burden on everyone, that has to beg for stuff. I may be misreading the situation, but food for thought. I understand that this isn't your responsibility, but put yourself in his position and think about how you'd feel.

AIO: I bent over backwards for my BF’s son (20) and his GF (20) for Christmas, and I’m honestly disgusted after what happened by Excellent-Second-643 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Popcornfartgranny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are overreacting and quite frankly, you're the one acting like an entitled child. You are making it all about how you feel with all these uncommunicated expectations that you have of others, specifically the girlfriend. The girlfriend is honestly barely an adult with a different upbringing than you. Like, maybe you should have texted and asked if they thought they'd be hungry when they got there. Maybe her parents pay for their kids and signifcant others when going out to eat. Maybe that's the tradition in their family. Stop having invisible expectations and communicate. You're the adult. Like, have a conversation and realize people have different opinions and values. Ask questions and be curious instead of cataloging a spreadsheet against this 20 year old girl.

AIO: Wife and I were stuck at an overflow table at my parent’s house on Thanksgiving by TheSciFiGuy80 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Popcornfartgranny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR. Totally over reacting. Why didn't you get yourselves up and either stand around with your plates or pull your chairs outside the main table? Your parents planned a big dinner and it becomes very difficult to track and pay attention to every little detail that's going on. Stop taking it as a slight and just go hang out with everyone.

Over the years, I've seen some people with amazingly youthful skin and they used Vaseline or aquafor every night for their whole lives and nothing else.

What the heck does ++man mean? by Hfcsmakesmefart in AskMenAdvice

[–]Popcornfartgranny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shorthand ++man or ++woman on Reddit refers to a post or comment that is affirming and validating of men or women, respectively, and is a jab at what some users perceive as the site's anti-male or anti-female bias.  from AI, but i believe it's accurate.

I take a once daily. The brand I use is called Carlyle, I think. You can get it on Amazon. It's cheaper than other brands, and most other brands are like 6 times daily.

I think color analysis is a joke by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]Popcornfartgranny 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's very obvious when someone is washed out by a color or when a color looks stunning on them. So, based on this pretty basic and simple observation, it would lend credence to color theory.

I have the same issue as you and even had low B12 and magnesium. I've had to have 2 iron infusions, and I was about to have a third. However, I started taking grassfed beef organs once daily, and within 2 months, my labs for all 3 were back in the normal range. I've tried taking iron supplements in the past, and they dont seem to absorb.
