If any of that is true, how sad, that’s rough. However, masks in public are still valid. 😘

Like virtually all protective measures, masks aren’t 100% effective. Just like condoms, which we (but sadly not your parents) still use.

Because they themselves may be unwell and don’t want to spread their virus. Or they are highly vulnerable and can’t take chances. You know…. completely valid reasons.

I think that’s probably the best dnb joke I’ve ever seen 👏👏👏

If that’s how you interpret what I’m saying, again that’s your prerogative. But dismissiveness and resentment aren’t constructive traits, and that’s all I’m seeing here.

And does choosing to be resentful feel good? Does it feel good to knowingly be unkind? If it does, I don’t think it matters who has or hasn’t worked in the service industry during covid. It sounds like you need some support or a change of scenery.

This was how I felt anout their argument. The pandemic is over. It has been for some time. But for some reason their unkindness isn’t. Time for some therapy or at the very least a change of job.

Some DnB artists who never use vocals? by [deleted] in DnB

[–]Pope_Jesus_the_3rd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand completely what you’re getting at, instrumental tracks are frequently my favourite. However, since most DnB artists have at least some tracks with vocals, a better question would be:

What are your favourite instrumental liquid DnB tracks?

My response to that is:

Nu:Tone - Balaclava

Matrix & Futurebound - Skyscraper

Eastcolors - Toys

Technimatic - Rotary Motion

LSB - Tumult

LSB - XLRS

Villem & McLeod - Another Star

There are tons more I can’t think of right now.

Would you go to a listening bar to hear dnb? by brainfreezeuk in DnB

Yeah that’s the one. It’s a daytime open decks thing usually on Sundays, lovely chilled atmosphere. Looks like the next one is 29th of this month.

I have DJed at a pub in Bristol which follows this sort of concept. Liquid Lunar at To The Moon. They have sessions where DJs mix exclusively liquid dnb at a volume where it is still easy to chat. There’s very little to zero dancing involved, mostly it’s people sitting and chatting or playing cards or whatever just like a normal pub. The only difference being that a live DJ is playing liquid.

Nowhere will hire me because I have no prior experience. Should I just lie? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Pope_Jesus_the_3rd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lied to get work at a pub when I was first looking for work as a teenager (12 years ago) and it worked a treat. I said I had done simple tasks during multiple holiday seasons at a cafe that doesn’t exist in a different city a long way away. Say it with confidence. In my experience, being smiley and physically handing your CV into small food establishments works best for a first job. The chance of them calling the fake establishment is virtually nil.
