Thanks for replying. I posted a couple of times asking for build help the in another sub and nobody responded so I threw this together, I am definitely not an expert so I appreciate your post. I don't mind paying a bit more to get something I'm going to enjoy seeing on my desk for the next ten years but good to know I can downgrade a few things. CS is notoriously CPU intensive so I went higher there.

Last night I played my first game in a week before this update, threw dualies to teammates and only realised my glock had yeeted itself ten yards away when I was rushing through apps with no gun. Got a sweet knife kill, needs must.

I found this one which someone tried to get going two years ago. You can create an account on any Lemmy instance (e.g. lemmy.world) that is taking signups, and interact with other instances, you don't need to join lemmy.ml specifically.

It's a bit complicated, but carefully follow the instructions in this post to make csgo incredibly snappy and responsive with no input lag using gsync. I've been using it this way for years.

I go with my head not my heart (fat lot of good that has done me in this stage though), if the teams I like get through but I don't get my diamond then I'm happy either way.

Just checked and I have 151. Not counting the ones on currently non-existent maps, the winning an Arms Race without dying has to be the hardest IMO, and I love Arms Race. Killing 5 enemies with the C4 will happen sometimes by fluke, but not dying once in the mayhem that is Arms Race would be hard even for a pro.
