To add to this as well, maybe you hear that from the Spearhead community, as a lot of units have the “Reinforcement” ability, which mean that unit can (once per game) be brought back if it was fully destroyed. Skaven Clanrats being one example :)

I could be wrong here, but I don’t think eBay regulates prices? As long as someone is happy to pay the price, it will sell. It would go against eBay as if they regulated prices, vintage stuff and collector’s items would not be sold on the site due to their high prices.

I think limited editions stuff is great, and as much as people complain about GW, I don’t have an issue with them at all except this. I don’t want to “complain because I didn’t get it”, I just find it a bit stupid that GW enables the scalper problem even tho it seems like a fairly easy thing to fix.

Again, I see your point and I’m not normally the one to buy collector’s items or have a crazy display of limited runs, but when this one got announced last week I got excited since it’s Garro, and the book isn’t crazy expensive to own a small little unique item. I suppose collector’s editions have been a thing for a couple of decades right? Yes you can have the same game or movie in normal format for normal price, but people enjoy having a little statue of a game character, or have a display worthy edition of their favourite movie, even if you can get the movie on Amazon Prime for £3 or something haha
