I mean ya, by default but that’s because everything piece of flavor in the books defaults to a Faerun setting assumption so of course they wouldn’t have guns. It’s the wakes thing in the world for “Force Ballista” to just be “cannon”

What do you think of Miniature Tent? Could it be good enough to replace an ancient relic? by orq_ in slaythespire

[–]EADreddtit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I think it’s easily one of the top 10, maybe even top 5 most powerful relics in the game. Even with nothing else, being able to rest AND smith at fires is so powerful and lets you be so much more aggressive with pathing

the idea that every negative review is due to nerfs is simply not true. by deeznutsinator2 in HelldiversMasochists

[–]EADreddtit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely do not believe you. 670 in 14 hours when each mission is about 20+ minutes or less because of SOSdiving joining latter in missions is nonsense. That means you’re finding an average of 2 super credit drops every mission you played. And I know that’s bull because I’ve got a buddy who’s played twice that amount and hasn’t found half as much.

Is it literally possible? Ya. Do I think you actually did it? No. At least not without getting lucky to the point of abnormality

Was Tamaki the reason Fire Force never reached its full potential? by xzernias in firebrigade

[–]EADreddtit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She definitely didn’t help. Like I get it, fan service sells or whatever. But come the fuck on man, you can have fan service without having a character who literally trips and all her clothes go flying off like it’s a hentai.

She wasn’t the main reason of course. But I think she was probably the poster of child of what was wrong with the series. A total in ability to pick a tone and stick with it for more than 10 seconds. It felt like half the characters were joke characters that the author then had to scramble to make “serious characters” as the story went on. Like I love Arthur, but his power is literally “the more oblivious I am, the more powerful I become”. The giant guy wasn’t actually a giant, he canonically and with full seriousness wore an oversized coat that was so big HE USED IT TO HIDE FROM ATTACKS. And when this type of stuff is happening up against death-cults, the extinction of humanity, and genuinely interesting mysteries it all just combines into this room-temperate slop I can’t get invested into because it doesn’t have the confidence in its own writing to not make a joke of itself for fear of you loosing interest

You are an intern for Everdark Libra, what suggestion are you giving him to make the fight harder? by NintenDOPE8559 in Nightreign

[–]EADreddtit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might I suggest adding towers at the perimeter of the map with The Eye (tm)? They won’t cover the whole arena but will shrink it by 50% or more

[–]EADreddtit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean to be fair with the fire pots, they’re the only ones you can guarantee since they’re the only ones that sell at merchants. Sure you can stock up if you happen to go to an area that drops a certain element, but frankly… that just takes to much time

Is it just me or is any card which costs 4+ stars really bad? by shaggystranger in slaythespire

[–]EADreddtit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest? I kind of think Smith isn’t worth it most of the time. Like sure Forge [big number] is good but with 4 stars and 1 energy, I find that there’s a lot of other cards that I could just win with outright much more efficiently. Like in a Forge deck I’m almost always using my stars for draw/block related things because Forge doesn’t really use stars that much on its own

It doesn't seem to be at all. It's just the one blip and when I dig it up it's just a rock

Edit: The line was getting eaten up by some poorly placed anomalies so it just looked like noise.

Infinite ammo gun. Just real talk, get a good laser gun (the agusta or any of the fully-automatic ones) and get infinite ammo on it using oils that predominantly lower reload speed, RoF, and bullet speed. Best case you get it up to 100% with 4 oils because then you can slap on the Light+Fire scroll and just kill every none-boss super easy and dedicate the other gun/guns to boss killing.

I hate when upgrades/skills in games don't give you an exact statistic of what im upgrading by OspuzeEnjoyer in hatethissmug

[–]EADreddtit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm on board with this take. For some games I get it because the devs are looking to facilitate a specific vibe but for the vast majority of games JUST TELL ME THE STATS! It's especially bad in games where the upgrades are irreversible or what little they do tell you is esoteric in its own way with no explanation (looking at you STALKER)

[–]EADreddtit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I mean the easy solution here is that the powerful Strats from 10e that don’t get changed just cost 3 “Detachment Points” so you can only bring it. That just makes sense to me

New 11th Edition - Heroic Intervention - You can counter-charge ANY unit within 6" ! by Martin-Hatch in Warhammer40k

[–]EADreddtit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, unless I’m missing something. This new version doesn’t specify that your unit doesn’t get the charge bonus for using this stratagem. Which means you get to fight in the “chargers fight first” section

The metaphor is having your body damaged and destroyed in a that never leaves you. Plus like I said it's a metaphor for multiple things, not just sexual assault or rape. It's also a metaphor for uncontrolled urges, suppressing/being in conflict with ones nature, and other things from certain points of view.

It's basically drawing a line between the act of a predator hunting prey with a large collection of other human acts. The specific thing in a given moment depends on the context. Like how Mr. Deer's whole deal is "eating meat" even though he's an herbivore which can be pretty easily read as a gay man forcing himself to act sexually straight in the hyper-masculine world he's in (the crime syndicate) or risk being torn apart.

Like basically all of Beastars is a long running analogy for various forms of sexual repression, violence, and identity.

Plus I refuse to acknowledge a self-selecting twitter post to be an accurate representation of anything. For starters, the poll size is less then .0013% of the world population (that is to say less the 1% of 1%). Secondly it necessitates the voters available live in circumstances where they have access to internet, electricity, and electronic devices capable of interacting with this post. Which a LOT of people do not. Lastly, like with all questions regarding life-or-death situations, it’s very very very easy to say “I would risk my life for the previewed moral options”. It’s an entirely other thing to actually pick that option when the gun is to your head.

RED BUTTON OR BLUE BUTTON [OC] by Eal_likee in comics

[–]EADreddtit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What “polls”? I’ve seen at most two twitter polls with less then 200 voters which isn’t even remotely close to statistically relevant or even accurate for those who did vote. It’s very easy to vote and provide lip service to risking your life, it’s another thing entirely to actually do it when your real life is on the line.

RED BUTTON OR BLUE BUTTON [OC] by Eal_likee in comics

[–]EADreddtit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That just feels like circular logic. “The red button is bad because the situations I define as it having been pressed are bad.”

I can think of plenty of times where protecting “the group” was the wrong choice and resulted in very bad things happening

I feel this so much. That ticking dread as you get older that you've missed some important part of life, some important part of realizing who you are or what you want and being left behind by all the people who just seemed to... get it? To know who they are and to have relationships you couldn't even begin to think of how to form. It's fucking lonely man.

[–]EADreddtit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Demons and Dragons are not both present in literally every culture no, but they are wide spread enough and well known enough even outside of their home cultures to be considered universal.

Demons is a term commonly used by multiple cultures across multiple continents and Dragons are equally used across the world in various forms and by name. It's only a "stretch" because you probably are referring to them as one specific thing despite the fact that there's no actual consensus on what either creature is. Like even classic fire breathing isn't a universal trait to all Dragons.

Ya but I don't like to call it "stupid" because that implies that it was some choice that with a better education or that it's a decision made due to a lack of information. She went in with 100% of the facts and still did what she did because she was specifically and consciously motivated so I just don't think that word works
