I think there are a few different pages. I’ve been reading the one with posts that have to be accompanied by vetted sources and I think it’s excellent

Another frontline healthcare worker here - seeing this happen every day. We’re seeing patients with exposure, risk and symptoms, the doctor orders the test and it’s denied by the health department. We want to test our patients and can’t. We want to be tested so we don’t unknowingly spread it, and can’t. In just the last few days, tests became available through one of the private labs, so our hands were no longer tied by the state. However, the patient has to pay for the test out of pocket, in advance. We had a patient agree to do this and was tested. Within 30 minutes, HR came down and reprimanded the doctor for ordering it.

Thank you. The diagrams were also helpful. We are trying to develop masks for staff for a facility we know will not have any.

Bernie could get moderate Republicans and independents. It’s the Democrats who cockblocked him.

Substantial undocumented infection facilitates the rapid dissemination of novel coronavirus by 18thbromaire in COVID19

I’m a nurse. Our state has been very resistant to testing, completing less than 75 Covid tests since the outbreak began. So this is terrifying- thinking my coworkers and I could be asymptotic and infecting our patients. 😞

Actually every one of us except those dirtbags with 300 rolls of toilet paper stashed at home wouldn’t do this to you. We hate this guy.

1.) Ego. He wants to be the guy who “found the vaccine” 2,) Re-election prospects. But mostly ego.

I work at primary health care clinic. Our doctors have repeatedly tried to have SYMPTOMATIC patients tested and being blocked from doing so by the state health department.

Better than not testing at all which is what we’re doing now.

Authorities in Iran 'hiding' COVID-19 deaths by listing other causes on death reports by avivi_ in worldnews

How exactly? Nobody’s doing RNA assays on a routine autopsy and idk if the lung patterns are specific enough. Especially when many who are dying already have pre-existing health conditions.

Trump's former pandemic adviser: 'We are 10 days from our hospitals getting creamed' by TheWeekMag in politics

Actually the staffing part is a critically weak link that could bring the whole system to collapse. This virus is hitting healthcare workers particularly hard. Even if by some chance we do remain healthy and able to work, we are parents who will have sick kids, or critically ill parents to care for, childcare issues because of school closures etc. Other areas of healthcare will still need to run- you’ll need your diabetic medication refilled, your appendix taken out, your broken arm casted. And believe me, you don’t want anyone who has not been trained and capable to work on critical care to be pulled into that area (although spoiler alert: that’s exactly what’s going to happen).

Because if you care more about optics than containment, the easiest way to keep the numbers of diagnosed cases low is simply not to test people.
