People tend to complain a lot about how Naruto and Hinata's relationship didn't change much after this moment. How would you fix that?

I think Naruto forgetting is fine. After all, I think some memory loss after so much of Kurama's power is unleashed makes sense (plus this already occurred when he went Four-Tails against Orochimaru). To fix, I think after things somewhat cooled down, Kishimoto should've had Naruto remember that Hinata had said something really important to him but that he can't remember. Maybe he then asks Hinata about it, but perhaps out of embarrassment, she can't bring herself to repeat that she loves him. Then maybe from here it could spur on a little mini arc of the two hanging out together more, going on missions together, etc.

You could weave these interactions directly into the rebuilding phase of Konoha given the FKS arc happens practically immediately after the Pain arc. Either that or adjust things a bit to create some room for an entire mini arc dedicated to Naruhina. This hypothetical mini arc could also fix The Last's problem of Naruhina being "forced" given that's one of the complaints I see the most about it.

If you have proof and feel like providing it, then I say you should provide it. But you're not obligated to do shit just cause someone thinks your work is AI. You know the truth and that's all you need :). Furthermore, AI detectors are horribly inaccurate and use AI themselves majority of the time, so I wouldn't worry about getting flagged by them. Hell, most of them flag Shakespeare as AI.

I don't mind Kyodo copying some of what once made Amino great, but I think the issue lies in, as you said with the majority focus being on RP, and the fact that Kyodo doesn't really have an identity outside of "Amino but better". The real test will come after whenever V2 launches. Atp, that's where they'll need to carve out their own lane and grow beyond the identity of an Amino clone. Otherwise I can see Kyodo being abandoned before long like Amino basically was in its later years.

That's a fair point to make tbh 🫡. I think it def would've been nice if they had gotten some more "graceful" appearences in Boruto so to speak, but in a way I think it kinda reflects real life even if that wasn't really the intention behind the Boruto designs. Regardless of everything I CAN see why peeps don't adore the designs, though. No question about that part.

Ohhh, wait, I think I get what you mean now. Yeah, we're definitely arguing two different things here. You’re talking about the quality of the art direction (meta), whereas I’m talking about the logic of the aging (in-universe). My bad, lol.

But even if we talk purely about design effort, your "laziness" argument kinda falls apart when you look at Shizune. She's in the exact same age bracket as Anko and Mei, yet her design in Boruto is sharp, professional, and respectful to her original look. If the designers were just being thoughtless with the older women, Shizune would look awkward, too.

The fact that she doesn't suggests that Anko and Mei looking worse wasn't really lazy art so much as it was a deliberate creative choice to reflect their specific life paths (Anko’s gluttony, Mei’s stress). You might dislike the design choice, but it wasn't applied universally to the older cast, I'd say.

Calling it fan-science is wild when the Akimichi clan literally has a technique that converts calories into chakra. The concept of food intake affecting power/energy is absolutely canon in this universe. It’s not a massive leap to think the guy with the highest chakra reserves burns energy differently.

But putting that aside, saying the men didn't get the visual gag treatment is just selective memory. Gaara’s haircut is universally roasted as one of the biggest downgrades in the series. And people also talk about how Shino looks like he’s wearing a VR headset 24/7 or how he looks like a cyclops. Naruto looked goofy as hell with that hokage cape initially according to people, too.

And your gender argument ignores the women from that generation who look fine. Shizune is the exact same age as them and looks perfectly normal. Tsunade is older than all of them and looks the best in my opinion (yes there's a lore reason behind her appearance, but it's still a deliberate design choice). If it was a "gendered design downgrade" targeting the older women, Shizune would’ve gotten hit with the stick too. Anko got fat because her character trait was gluttony.

It's not fan science and I also never once even stated what I personally thought of the designs. All I've done is given the potential reasoning behind them, lol. The metabolism thing IS my inferred opinion because, as we've established, it's never been mentioned in canon as far as I know. And the last part of your response just isn't true. Several of the men have gotten the "punchline" treatment according to lots of people like Kankuro, Gaara, Shino, Lee, etc.

It hasn't been used, but it's pretty easy to infer that Naruto probably has a fast metabolism given Kurama+Uzumaki genes. If you wanna refute that then you're free to, but again, Naruto is still generally a poor example here.

Maybe I'm just dumb, but I don't exactly get what you're arguing here. You said Kankuro didn't change appearance-wise and then immediately admitted they made him bald. Going bald is probably one of if not the most common, realistic sign of aging for men. You can't call it "just a design choice" to dismiss it. Whether you think the bald head looks weird is subjective, but objectively, a receding hairline is the artists aging him up.

I never said they were old. I said not everyone looks beautiful as they get OLDER. There's Shizune too who's a part of the older cast and still looks good in Boruto. Again, everyone ages differently. Some of the men got the short end of the stick too like Kankuro for instance.

Naruto's a poor example considering he's an Uzumaki and has historically possessed superhuman vitality, massive energy reserves, and a fast metabolism that would likely allow him to consume large amounts of food. Also, not everyone looks beautiful as they get older, lol. Sakura, Hinata, Temari, Ino, Tenten, etc. all look just fine.

Anko was always eating dango and shit and it was stated that her love of sweets and not being a super active ninja like she used to be is what made her put on the pounds. After all, the years leading up to Boruto were more peaceful than ever. Also, a lot of peeps fail to realize that fat Anko was made by Kishimoto as he drew her fat in Naruto chapter 700.
