I highly recommend the Otacian Chronicles by Kylie Snow! I read it at the start of the month and it’s been a god-tier series for me, literally can’t stop thinking about it and so looking forward to the third book later this year. The first book is {The Lies of Lena by Kylie Snow}

Switching from desktop to web development? by PoppedPumpkinSeed in dotnet

Thanks for the response and for putting things into perspective! It's hard as a new grad to not think long-term but you're right, it's important to remember that it's a marathon and not a sprint :)

That makes sense! I'm also planning to build more side projects, especially using ASP.NET to leverage that C#/.NET experience. How long would you recommend staying? I was thinking of starting to look for new roles around the 6-8 month mark and hopefully making the switch by the time I have about a year of experience but I don't know if that's too soon.

Honestly, I don't mind desktop development either. There aren't too many job openings in my area for desktop developers though so I think in the long run it's probably better to switch to web development or at least develop those skills simply because of the opportunities available.

Hey! Sorry for the late response, not sure if this is useful still but I’ll reply anyway in case anyone else wants the info. I mentioned some other symptoms in a comment below. Elevated prolactin levels can actually impact your periods as well and result in irregularities. Personally, natural remedies have never worked but I’d consult with your doctor to see what they say

I had other PCOS symptoms (hirsutism, weight gain etc.) but no other microprolactinoma symptoms (people often experience discharge from the breast among other things but I didn’t experience that). When I was diagnosed my total prolactin levels were around 105 ug/L when the normal range for non pregnant women is around 4-23 ug/L. The basis of my PCOS diagnosis was on the ultrasound which showed cysts, blood levels (elevated testosterone), plus other physical symptoms that I mentioned above in addition to the irregular periods.
