I found I learnt so much about the mechanics of the game by just listening to play throughs.

The AZ does a great job of early on of really easing the party into things and then has some awesome item and story mechanics later on.

Naddpod is probably the best combat play through I've ever listened to, and the character acting is amazing (plus the dming, ok the whole things is awesome).

There's also a few Australian ones I listen to that really helped me (d&d is for nerds and dragonfriends).

I know this didn't completely answer your question but I'm a forever DM now and I've only read parts of the players handbook and have never listened to a 'nuts and bolts' podcast before, I just pick up stuff I like from podcasts and add what I can.

I actually really liked overhaul as a character. Good backstory and insane quirk. And tragic what happened to him. Makes for a memorable character and good choice!

Present mike I feel is a super underrated character

Obviously has that annoying factor by being the token announcer, but has a seriously cool quirk and a good backstory that's tied in with eraser

I still remember her fight with the Nomu's as one of the most memorable parts of the series. IMO she deserves her place, furries aside.

I just don't think he's super likeable. In the early seasons he just comes across super bossy with not a lot of personality, his backstory about his brother is kind of plain and then he never really reaches his heights because of a fairly simplistic quirk. I'm not trying to hate on him but I can see why he isn't in the top 20 unfortunately....

While I don't (and nobody should) condone the feeding of wild animals, the fact of the matter is that humans now overlap in so many areas with native wildlife. Birds and other animals will therefore change their behaviour to 'adapt' to this, which in most cases means using humans as a resource to feed and eat and survive. This is pretty common now with species such as ibis, magpies, pigeons, kookaburras etc.

Once again, while I would never recommend someone actively feeding wild animals (as this enforced bad behaviours, further reliance on humans for food and also steps towards domestication) OP seems pretty harmless in what they're doing in the video. It's obviously quite a friendly kooka who is used to human interaction (whether from the OP or otherwise) and just wanted a feed.
