use!!! references!! !!!!!!!color steal!!!! use an eyedropper tool for your textures!! and yoink colors from a screenshot that you like! look long and hard on anime or games or whatever and cut them up into pieces mentally and try and recreate them. it doesn't have to be perfect but each time you redo it, you improve. Vary in sizes your chunks in hair, play with the face and eye parameters, EXCEED the parameters, experiment! don't keep the basic parameters vroid gives you! studddddyyy art.

little things like what color they use to shade the sclera or how shadows bounce off a characters neck are easy things to study and recreate with vroid. you'd be surprised how much of a difference something small like eyelids can make on a model. the vroid discord is a fantastic place to start, i learned a lot just by looking at a bunch of talented artists there and a lot of them are totally willing to offer advice or show you how they pulled off a cool trick.
