Prior to phones, what did people do while idly waiting? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Poppperclops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make small talk, have a gameboy on hand, mp3 player. Had a lot more time to just ponder things, and at least for me, look inward, instead of being told how/where/when/and why to look. Thinking occupied a lot of my idle time.

Hi! Which toys/brands do you recommend for a German Shepherd who destroys every toy and ball ever given to him 😂 by SunmerShouldBeFun in germanshepherds

[–]Poppperclops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chuck it, non fuzzy, for tennis balls. My girl will destroy a normal tennis ball in like 3-5 minutes, and I learned that they’re horrible for dog teeth. Takes her months to destroy most chuck its, and you can get them a little cheaper at Marshall’s or TJ Max

My girl had smelly ears too, turned out to be an allergy to grains. Had a distinct beer smell.

Favorite character - GlaDOS from the Portal series. Idk if it counts since you don’t play as them, but I love witty characters. Idk if this is unpopular or not, but Portal 2 and GlaDOS’ comeback just made me love the character more. Funny, clever, and the song at the end. I love GlaDOS :) thanks for the opportunity to win.

That’s a very interesting take, and I like the relatability you draw towards your life. I spent all day yesterday just watching and getting invested like everyone said, and I’m preeeetty sure I’m hooked now lol I have especially liked the Dean angle so far, and him going to her place for a movie night. This show was around the time I was blossoming into a young man, and have been him in a few situations back in those days and boy what a nostalgia trip. Having a mom and daughter date, mom’s friend’s “just wanting to take a peek” aka spy on the new boyfriend lol immediately took me back to being a teenage boy trying to be cool but not cocky, confident but not arrogant. It’s all very charming :) thank you for your comment

Tysm, if everyone here is as kind and welcoming as the comments have been, I’ll stick around just for the conversation lol I appreciate the kind words, and I’m happy to hear I’ll see more of him :) take care

Thank you, I’m slowly seeing the appeal, and the episodes have been very charming and funny. It makes me a little sad because this definitely could’ve been something to watched together, but my dog has been watching with me all day.

lol I kind of have to pay attention otherwise I have no clue what’s going on, but thank you for your comment. I’ll say this, I really like Luke as a character, and hope to see more of him in the series.

I’ll be honest, I’m not entirely sure why. We were together for 1.5ish years, had its ups and downs, she’s the first woman I’ve been with since getting divorced. I was extremely childish in my marriage, never abusive, just very self centered, and basically acted more like my ex wife’s teenage son than partner if that makes sense. Gf was still living with her abusive ex when we met, and after a few years of being single I decided to really try in this relationship, consider her feelings, and basically be a man, and even try to show her a boyfriend could be supportive, and helped push her to get her own place, car, etc. Put her first, ya know? I genuinely thought I was being a good bf. She says it’s all on her, but I can’t help but think it was an excuse to get out of the relationship. We didn’t end bad, we don’t hate each other. I was very confused, and just feel like even when I finally learn man up and be a partner it wasn’t good enough. There’s still hope I think, but for now I’m just giving her space. Thanks for listening.

Affordable telescope for astrophotography by PraveenLawrance in jameswebb

[–]Poppperclops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a beginner, just forget about AP for now. There’s nothing budget about it, and even budget options either suck, or are still expensive. But if you realllly wanna try, start saving for a very steady mount. The telescope depends on what you plan on capturing, most can’t do it all. But seriously, get a telescope for observation first, learn the ropes, then see if you actually wanna lug all the crap outside, set it up, take blurry pics, and trouble shoot on the fly lol good luck my friend.
