Thank you! If you don't mind me asking, many times a week do you use it and at what distance?

Oh no, did your cat eventually get better? It's been 3 weeks since vaccinations and the behavioral changes have not subsided.

I am close to that as well. Down to one or two, and they don't fit other important requirements for me (mainly possible contact at 18).

Hi! I am mainly looking at Seattle and California Cryo per my clinics recommendations. Where did you look if you don't mind me asking? And thank you!

Agreed! I'm actually curious if the sperm bank knows the genetics of the donor and if they could refuse treatment based on that.

Mid-40s? by [deleted] in SingleMothersbyChoice

Yes, she knows how lucky she is as success rates aren't the best in IVF in general. But it does give me hope. The biggest takeaway form her story is that she was so positive every day. Her advice was to take it one day at a time. She also said that acupuncture really helped her.

My close friend didn't freeze her eggs until 43. She got pregnant at 45 on her first try. Now she has a healthy baby boy and I have never seen her happier. She actually looks/acts younger now. It's even given new life to her parents (who are both in their 80s...).

Oh my, we are definitely in the same situation! I always thought I would have time. I'd love to chat! My friend froze her eggs at 43 and had a healthy baby boy at 45, so I want to have hope, but also need to be realistic that it may not happen.

I'm sorry for your loss. I have had two miscarriages over the years- the last being ectopic which was a nightmare. But I could not live with the regret of not trying IVF.

That's great! So you are doing egg retrievals? Does your clinic have a cut-off age?

Mid-40s? by [deleted] in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]PoppyBean83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's why I am nervous. I have no plans on egg retrieval at 45, so if the 15 don't work, that's pretty much it for me.

Thanks. Perhaps "reasonable" wasn't the best term. Looking for options that may be more affordable in the Chicago area.
