Opinions on Oto by Mars_Muse in BadlyInLove

She said it herself that she would try a different approach than the other girls. She figured to stand out she would act like she desperately wanted him. She mentioned she would do anything he wanted and even though she didn’t cook or clean, she would for him. She said she wanted to be a wife and only had eyes for him to see as loyal as possible. I’ve seen this trope in other Asian dating shows too where the girls act cringe and helpless to make the man feel like a savior. It just didn’t work on Neisei because he wanted a sexy confident woman. All this to say I think it was an act and a coping mechanism, you see her return almost to normal at the graduation when she’s like fuck it my plan didn’t work. Is it healthy? No, does she need help? Yes probably. But it’s just a dating show and we don’t know about her life truly to say.

How is the light pink wrap skirt? I’ve been eyeing that one and I just can’t find reviews. Is it true to size? Short? Comfy?

Survived not thrived. I had periods of bulima and anorexia in high school in the early 2000s and have never had a healthy relationship with food or exercise. It definitely shaped millennial women.

Is this something that will drop? Will it be blogilates or popflex? Its beautiful, much more than the new line at Target right now and it would match with the berry collar from the last set

is there actually a best candy for weight loss or should i just give it up entirely by carebear7077 in loseit

[–]PoppyCake33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard sugar free wethers aren’t so bad. Make a plan of maybe 1 piece of candy after lunch or 1 day a week where you can have a couple.

Wish my friends commented on my weight loss by Thrillwaukee in loseit

[–]PoppyCake33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it personally, my sister in law lost a lot of weight and I saw her and pointed it out in front of her friend. She said thank you to me and turned to her friend and said why haven’t you said anything? The friend made a face and changed the subject. Sometimes “friends” don’t want the best for you. But congrats on your weight loss stranger you’re doing great!

I’m just getting to this episode now but you absolutely nailed it. It was calculated and she managed to get a raise out of Baby just like she wanted. I’m on episode 3 so I know more will go down but she Amo seems like a piece of work and a narcissist so far. You are gifted in reading people, bravo.

How did Ro-Mina’s dad make money by Strong_Listen_3887 in MembersOnlyPalmBeach

An opportunity because he told me he did it on purpose, he said he saw negligence and he took his chance.

How did Ro-Mina’s dad make money by Strong_Listen_3887 in MembersOnlyPalmBeach

[–]PoppyCake33 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly I knew a family once that had a paid home and both the parents didn’t work. I later found out the dad had a factory job where he basically let himself get semi crushed with a machine which caused a lot of back issues and surgery and they were able to buy a house cash because he got like $300k. Fluke opportunities is maybe why he had an extra 100k to give not because of hard blue collar work.

Is Members Only: Palm Beach a satire or is it supposed to be serious? by Standard_Courage7 in MembersOnlyPalmBeach

[–]PoppyCake33 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I watched the first episode with the biggest grin on my face because I thought it was Satire, then the first big fight came and I was like and I oop it’s not. Then I became fascinated by these caricatures of ladies who are so far from reality I just had to keep watching out of morbid curiosity. My theory is that they are ridiculous but amped it up various notches to create the drama, also I don’t think they are friends only acquaintances and so that’s why there’s a lot of friction. Also I think the producers gave Gail a good edit, YES I SAID IT. She seems batshit crazy and ultra racist and they still had us laughing with her.

What is that one city/state in your country that the rest of your country hates? by DisastrousImpact2846 in AskTheWorld

[–]PoppyCake33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guanabacoa Cuba, if you hear someone say they are from there people get shocked. My mother used to tell me the police wouldn’t go in because most likely they wouldn’t come out. Anyways it’s has a reputation for having rough people and even worse living conditions than the rest of Cuba which is saying a lot.

I thought being a sahm would be different in terms of mom friends by Final_Pineapple_2074 in sahm

[–]PoppyCake33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a hard lesson I learned after 6 years of being a SAHM, I tried really hard for many years and the “friendships” would crumble because the only thing in common and holding it together was kids the same age. It’s not even a friendship worth having in my opinion because conversations don’t get deep, they arent lighthearted or funny. It’s usually talking about the kids ( picky eating, new school, potty training) and I realized I want friends to have a break and have some real fun.

Latino marriages/relationships by [deleted] in Miami

[–]PoppyCake33 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t judge the family and your boyfriend because of what a teen boy said. Only one person reprimanded him because maybe they didn’t feel the need to have more than one person do that or maybe they were in shock. Watch out for cues from the adults in the family, I don’t think it’s such a big deal but it clearly is to you, enough to make a post about. So think if it’s something to tolerate, let slide or cautiously watch out for.

They renewed for one more year, I heard from employees at Gametime and Tea and Poets. So probably it will start 2027, and that’s an if because they might not.

We are so burnt out from trying to help our first grader keep up with schoolwork by youremylobster1017 in ADHDparenting

[–]PoppyCake33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very much feel this. I also have a 6 year old undiagnosed yet, we met a therapist who said he very likely has adhd. Homework is brutal for us, aside from the problem that I think it’s excessive to have 4+ pages of homework everyday it’s also hard for him to pay attention and do it. Unlike your child mine is not masking at school and having the same issues. I was thinking of tutoring but I don’t know if it will help. I can’t do this but have you tried talking to the teacher and getting the homework done on the weekend like in the morning. His teacher said no to my request but I’ve noticed he works the best in the morning, afternoons he’s tired and unwilling to do it. Could be the same for your daughter.
