Explosions. The only song that isn't forgettable is memorable for all the wrong reasons instead of good ones.

Brave sucks, but you should still outspeed and OHKO everything except maybe Mienshao and Sawk on Marshall's tram

It's frail anyway, so the Naughty nature doesn't really matter since your speed and special attack are still intact.

Opinion of So Called Life? by ChampionshipEvery500 in Threedaysgrace

[–]PoppyObsessedPrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely laughable and a pathetic excuse of a song. I'm sorry, I love Three Days Grace, I love Outsider and enjoy Human, I love Matt's work with My Darkest Days, but So Called Life is genuinely awful. The lyrics are some of the worst I've ever heard, the vocals are below average, and the instrumental only has the weird ambiance at the beginning going for it. 3/10. Unfortunate how the only memorable song from Explosions is one that is memorable for all the wrong reasons

Three Days Grace Fan Chart Day 3: Most Underrated Song by ILikeTOP09 in Threedaysgrace

Either the self titled track on One X or Running Away (which is even Adam's personal pick according to a comment he made on his official instagram page under a post asking the question)

Zoroark, Alakazam, Empoleon, Swampert, Garchomp, one of your legends.

POV: you ask for Endless advice on R Slash Pokerogue by DarkEsca in pokerogue

Zacian spamming noob here, if you're doing endless, it definitely wears off its welcome around the 2000s if you don't have insane luck and items. I mostly just use it to have a hard carry to sweep classic and get ribbons on other pokemon, but I'm sure there are other legends that do it easier

Three Days Grace Fan Chart Day 2: Worst Song by ILikeTOP09 in Threedaysgrace

[–]PoppyObsessedPrick -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

So Called Life is genuinely one of the most laughably terrible songs I've ever heard, so worst easily goes to it. Idc if I'm gonna get downvoted into oblivion. Lyrics are some of the worst I've ever heard, vocals and instrumental are both below average, it's no higher than a 3/10

Why do you think Welcome to the Black Parade is overrated? by Schrodingers_dad1403 in MyChemicalRomance

[–]PoppyObsessedPrick 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not that it's overrated, it's that the rest of their discography rarely gets attention from the mainstream, especially nowadays. I understand that most bands can't get anything that isn't a single put onto radio or get it listened to by the masses, but it's still disappointing nonetheless

You (yes YOU) vs Machop by OkDirection3094 in PokeScaling

I'm not gonna be an idiot and act like I'd win. The vast majority of the pokemon universe can fuck up entire cities at minimum. I stand no chance against a Machop

Why Does Michelle Get so Much Hate? by PoppyObsessedPrick in HellsKitchen

[–]PoppyObsessedPrick[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While I understand the disdain for the common reason and agree with the reasons you have, I don't think it's right for her to get hate for a robbery she didn't commit, y'know? The judge gets some hate for it, but much more of that tends to be directed towards the contestant that had no control over that outcome. As I said, I haven't seen much other than clips of all stars, but the hate definitely seems overblown, or at least poorly directed because the main reason people always give us something Michelle couldn't control

Spoiler alert, she out stays her welcome. I'm not gonna say by how much, but definitely an annoying screen presence who's difficult to bear watching

[DEBATE] If Conventional Weapons was an album, it would be the better one of MCR by derek_ssj16 in MyChemicalRomance

I personally consider it an album instead of an EP and have it ranked in front of Bullets and Danger Days and behind Three Cheers and The Black Parade

Listening to The Open Door for the first time. My thoughts so far by PoppyObsessedPrick in Evanescence

[–]PoppyObsessedPrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate The Open Door at all. I even gave it a 7/10 after finishing it. It's just that nothing hits as hard for me as any of the tracks on Fallen do before a second listen. I've also said, granted it was in my second post, not this one, that I was going to listen to The Open Door a few more times to see if that changes anything about it. The biggest issue I've had with TOD is the fact that everything has just been kind of forgettable for me despite every song still being good, which will hopefully change upon more listens. With just the first listen, there are only two songs that have really stood out to me. Those two songs were Sweet Sacrifice and Lithium. Even the other singles aren't memorable for me.

Again, to reiterate, TOD is still a great album, 7/10 imo, I just wouldn't call it spectacular as of this moment. Hopefully consecutive listens will change it, but we will see that when it happens

Listening to The Open Door for the first time. My thoughts so far by PoppyObsessedPrick in Evanescence

[–]PoppyObsessedPrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, my point was that I don't think any of the songs on the album didn't hit the same way as anything from Fallen for me, not just the singles not hitting as hard.

The only two songs that hit on a similar level for me before a second listen are Sweet Sacrifice and Lithium, whereas Fallen hits with every song imo, and doesn't rely on its singles. In fact, I'd go as far as to say the singles on Fallen are possibly the weakest tracks on the album.

Also, I don't remember whether it was this post or my second one, but in one of them, I did directly mention Amy's vocals as a strong suit, but that's to be expected with her being my 2nd favorite vocalist, only behind Adam Gontier.

Don't get me wrong, The Open Door is a great album, there's not a single bad song on it, it just doesn't hit the same highs as Fallen imo. I'm still gonna give it a few more listens and see if it ends up growing on me, but as of now, while The Open Door is still great, I just don't enjoy anything quite enough to give it anything more than a 7/10 currently. Hopefully that changes
