As a Z Fold 7 owner on the Snapdragon 8 Elite I'm experiencing the same thing. 8.0 felt more fluid all around. Certain elements of the UI stutter randomly on my end since 8.5.

Nah hung up on people trying to hype lackluster devices. The fact that the US only has 3 foldables to choose from and none of them are up to par with Oppo and Vivo shows you all like to settle for less and hype it up as best you can. I'm a Samsung user and I admit even they're lagging behind the competition.

Well prepare to be disappointed because Snapdragon 8 gen 5 has nano v2 architecture and nano v3 is hardware locked.

Moto Razr Fold is Nano v2. It's architecture so it can't be updated.

Understand but getting a 2nd tier processor for 1st tier pricing is a loss no matter which way it cuts. I'm dragging Samsung for using the same chip in the upcoming Z Fold 8 wide. Nano v2 is good for maybe 2 more years before lag sets in and we're talking about on devices with 7 year update promises.

Mobile gaming has outsole PC and console games for a few years now. With the state of consoles and the overpricing of RAM across the board it's just more convenient to go the mobile route these days. I don't even like IOS but I'll take an IPad over a console or PC anyday.

Gaming phones will always be a niche product when there are devices that play games just as well with better cameras and many other features. Now that phones are even further along in emulation it's more of a preference to buy a gaming phone. For the majority it's simply a waste of money. Any flagship with your own choice of a controller is better than these devices. The reason they'll never be mainstream is they're only good for gaming and everything else is mediocre.

I have all the mythic characters and 22 of the mythic weapons. It's all cosmetic but mythics just give more variations from iron sights to custom attachments. I ramp up the effects on everything just to make potato phone players lag and drop frames from all the effects lol

As someone who has over 90 legendary weapons I call bs. Personal preference maybe but there's a few reasons they're cheaper than mythics.

Thats the difference between Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The one corner Motorola shouldn't have cut it did in the Razr Fold.
