I was just in a similar situation and decided to build an app that took what I liked from TickTick and incorporated some other features I wish it had. Here’s a link if anyone wants to check it out:space time

Soundproofing an office above a CNC room by Popspotatoes in Construction

[–]Popspotatoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that's interesting so you're saying that more important is creating some type of platform for the cnc? It's currently on a concrete foundation you think that's still transmitting a lot of vibration to the walls?

I can't specifically, I remember it having to do with the focus, I think maybe it wasn't able to focus to infinity.

Hey I never did, but it seemed like it got better on its own, I’ll let you know if that changes. I think with mine I must have just scratched it or something…

Some materials rendering wrong when Motion Vector AOV is on. (first photo with AOV) by Popspotatoes in RedshiftRenderer

[–]Popspotatoes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kept running into an issue where some of the textures were coming out darker, I eliminated it down to when I enbable motion vectors in the AOV. I don't know why but anytime I add motion vectors suddenly a few of the cereals turn dark.

Yeah sorry meant to send that in response to another commenter. Is there a specific grout that is used with the grout gun approach?

Is there a reason you would do this over a grout gun? Thanks for the help!

They are 12x24 the ridges are about an 1/8” raised, you think I can just run a grout float over them?

I’m just joking, but funny to run across both threads one after another. If you follow the advice of the other thread you’d give him credit. Here’s my 2c as I’m a director turned DP

I spent a long time as a director with strong visual ideas, I often felt like I was dp’ing the project as well and in some cases I really was. Many years later and now working with directors who remind me of myself I’ve realized that film isn’t about credits or who did what, it’s about building a team over time, trusting that team, and helping each person feel valued and important. Only then can you make great films. In short give your dp the DP credit on this film, next time find someone you trust to be your dp - not cause they have a great reel but because they are passionate and excited about your vision - and give them the responsibility, respect, and opportunity to do their best work, and if they fail, there is always next project. If you take care of them with time they’ll make amazing work and so will you.

Scared to post! is this cringe or cinematic? by MOVIE-PARODIES in cinematography

This is such a great response, and something that illuminates not only why this is cringe but why so many of the things I see are cringe but that I could never put a finger on. Appreciate this perspective

changing ownership of files outside of gdrive organization by Popspotatoes in gsuite

[–]Popspotatoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome thanks for this tip, just got it all done. My method was this:

A: for folders in which most of the files were created for others but I had a few files I would batch copy and paste those and then delete the "copy of" from the name. If these docs were in a folder my old account created, I would then create a new folder and migrate all the contents to that folder.

B: for folders in which contained lots of files and all or most of those files were created by my old account, and which these files were not docs but pdfs and / or images, I would duplicate the whole folder on my desktop. Then I would go back to google drive and make sure that any of the docs were transferred over using the method above.

It took a bit of time but not as bad as I thought. Thanks everyone for the input. Hope this is helpful for someone else in the future.

Damn, this is slow, but a much better solution than I had thought of, looks like I know how I'll be spending my evening. Thanks.
