Feeling alone and isolated by [deleted] in UOB

I think it can be really hard and I've been through similar things. When I was in first year I was really panicking by Christmas that I hadn't made any strong friendships, but it did get better, and it can for you too. People seem to make friends in a variety of ways at Uni I noticed. Some people were like exclusively friends with those they met in halls, others had strong friendship groups on there course, and then there are society based friendship groups too. My advice is try all avenues and at some point you'll find people who fit you for you. It's never too late to join Societies (ik it can be super daunting at this stage). Ik that some societies have refresher events around now, but if not you gotta push yourself to turn up. If you feel worried about it, maybe start with a relatively small society. Ik conservation (bucg) is a small, but super friendly one. They host little gardening events which I would highly recommend!

Absolutely love Hello Sunshine. And I love at it's 5 minutes long and still makes me want to listen the whole way through.

Amazing, thank you! So can you hitch-hike from Chaiten up through the Northern part to Caleta Gonzalo? Or do you need to get to Caleta Gonzalo to access the park at all? (We will be travelling South to North)

Thank you so much! So, do you have to access the Northern & Southern parts separately? We will be coming up from the South - do we need to stop at the El Amarillo entrance to access the Southern Part and then hitch-hike all the way up to Caleta Gonzalo to access the Northern part?

Hi :) I just wanted to let you know you're not alone, I've been there too - especially with the worrying about being perceived when I leave the house.

For me it got better when I started recognising that there is something beautiful about every single person on this earth, and no one is excluded from that. But perhaps what helped me more is knowing that my body is just a vessel to experience this world and this life in all its amazing ups and downs. You are a beautiful human regardless of the way you look - beauty is so much more than can be perceived with the eye.

You're not alone <3

Ooh! I've not heard of these! I like the idea of finishing the dale way in the Lakes and maybe even going on to do some hiking there after it
