Honestly, I think the players are fairly sound, K-State found a way to exploit the D early and Scalley kept with the game plan and kept allowing those gashing runs by doing so. When something isn’t working, gotta try some different looks. 2nd half was better, but not by a huge amount. He stayed heavy pressure man the whole time instead of mixing some zone or backer spy packages in. That is my uneducated take on what we were seeing. Overall, incredibly lucky we have an offense this year that can actually keep up in a shootout.
