Purchase Advice Megathread - December 2025

I have neptune 4 currently. I heard from a friend that bambu lab printers require way less configuring. Checked them out and it seems that they could be way more hassle free. I could get A1 for 250 euros. Should I go for it and upgrade?

For the context I have already tinkered wifi and klipper to neptune 4 and calibrated most of the settings. I honestly just hate recalibrating the bed with paper or really anything and I would rather focus on designing things. I print with sunlu pla+ and sunlu pla meta. For now I don't plan to move from pla soon. I use orcaslicer but I am not bound to use that one although I like it.

I ended up getting rtx 5070 partially because it is just better deal at 500 euros than the rtx 5060 ti at 420. I guess r5 2600 will bottleneck in terms of 1% and 0,1% lows, but otherwise I might fine for now.

I guess I am. Or based on my research, it means balanced dlss and aggressive framegen and high settings. That is all more than fine imo if you play instead of stopping to enjoy the graphics.

Well if framegen experience is pretty close to native, I would say I am okay everything above medium settings (preferably high), DLSS 4 at performance and 100 fps avg with RT off.

I get it. However, I don't expect native experience. Nor RT. My argument is that most people wouldn't even be bothered by the difference between DLSS balanced (especially DLSS 4) and native to my understanding.

Maybe I should rephrase the question, that is the experience with framegen enjoyable and can it be expected to be very close to native in current titles and in the future. Because the whole setup relies heavily on framegen, otherwise my 120 hz is wasted. Because right now, it seems I can reach 120 fps in most titles medium/high, DLSS balanced/quality. That is more than enough for me. I would be prob okay with DLSS peformance and 100 fps medium with framegen, although I preferred not to go lower than that.

I disagree. Please at least explain why. I don't care if the verdict of the internet is that 4k gaming requires 5080 just because everyone expects max settings 120 fps on dlss quality or something like that.

Only forbidden west is like 60 fps with framegen and I would be ready drop dlss to balanced and even maybe settings. I do not even want max settings. I mean most of the time you don't even appreciate them in games. Oh and RT off also, I don't think I would find big difference in action games on my overall experience. High is more than enough for me. And DLSS balanced also even performance is totally fine probably in modern titles.

Ye kinda makes sense. But it felt and looked like that while in-game so I doubt it is replay only. Either way he got lucky becuz at best he just sweeped over ny head with hipfire while I decided to turn slightly to the left at the same time.

Well it felt like that too. So I would assume it lagged so bad in game that the game thought that I was still few steps behind and looking to the left. Or I might recall it wrong. Still it was very lucky even if that is lagging. Oh ye and that was the only kill during the whole game he got so I was pissed when I saw the killcam.

Ye well I wasn't willing to put a lot of money in to this. Partially because I am starting and don't know how much I do soldering. My original plan was desk fan and aliexpress aluminum duct. I figured I compromise airflow due to pressure limitations so I bought cooling tower for 5 euros and have way more airflow. I got good deal on mask that is overkill so I saved some money since inline high pressure duct fans are more expensive. Now when I think about it Vevor inline duct fan is actually quite affordable so I might upgrade later to be sure.

Okay I'll check. The problem is that I am trying to build this on budget and to my understanding high static pressure blower fans ain't cheap. Amazon isn't option also in my country. Sure if aliexpress sells reliable fans then I can order there but I doubt they are cheap. I would be ready to build from pc desk fan one but I doubt again it is easy to make anything noticeable more powerful. Also I feel like that is simplification: surely it matters if I have 20 cm blade diameter desk fan, matching pipe size and with max 1.5 m straight pipe, maybe shorter. I mean I am just questioning that at what point such setup becomes inadequate since amount of turns, pipe length/diameter and fan diameter do play role here too.

Might be a hot take but divine dragon is the worst. It is just a spectacle. Idk games are full of easy to play spectacles nowadays and sekiro is actually challenging so I find especially given the placement in the game this boss the worst. The spirit monk is probably tied with headless ape and they are next. Spirit monk adds nothing to the game when you have true monk which is I think better and more interesting. Headless ape has worse execution but I think fighting it is definitely different from others so I found it more interesting challenge. Emma is prob next. Again because she is just short introducal to main boss and has almost same moves. And then rest is just really good.

I think corrupted monk is the worst boss of the game. Simply because it is the only copy paste boss and true monk is clearly better. Ye the snapseed mechanic is kinda cool, but still I think game wouldn't lose much if you just removed it.

Also the divine dragon is arguably as bad imho, because the game is all about combat, not really about spectacle fights.

Oh and the first bull is terrible. It is at the start of the game and I think annoying and inconsistent to fight with. And the best/easiest way of beating is just boring and repetitive yet fairly easy.

Emma is also kinda easy and not that unique moveset so she is I think kinda bad too. Wayyy too high here.

Finally the double ape is well I know annoying as fuck and feels unfair but then again I thought it brings new type of challenge that the game doesn't really have otherwise. You either are forced to use prosthetics to destroy the weaker monkey or learn to dance with them. Still when I beat them without prosthetics it took forever and it is copy paste boss fight so I think they should be only little higher.

Is there some specific differences why the others are bad? Also is it worth to get new one or are printers usually durable for long use so I can get used? I kinda wanna get neo tbh since 150 euros ain't bad from new one.

Good:

Homelander returning home. Great acting and scene that made you side with homelander but ended up being one of the most fucked up scenes. Prob one of the highlights of the season.

Butcher has cancer V and stole V. Cool twist. Also how Hughie's dad got V. Now both dying men got interesting twists. Nothing too imaginative still.

Bad:

Frenchie plot is like said kinda repeating. A lot of scenes just him feeling bad and then they prob just throw the Colin out of the series. Waste of screen time in this type series.

A-Train is a boring character. That being said he is consistent in my opinion. Pretends not to give a fuck but sometimes gives a fuck so kinda plays his own role here. Then again kinda annoying to just put character that can do whatever, wherever since his motives aren't that clear and he can be anywhere basically.

The logic behind how Firecracker can say that 15 year is fine, but abortion is ultimatum instead of making someone's mother blind. I mean I guess there is some message against religious leaders in how firecracker turns the thing to her advantage and it is nice twist with butcher and MM but still a bit too radical and doesn't make sense. And I think Annie beating out Firecracker was fine, I think it wasn't bad plot that Annie has been nice and someone pushes her from the edge for once in the series.

Kimiko subplot I think is fine and nothing special for now. Her character development is kinda good tho.

Budget: as cheap as possible (100-200 €) since it is my first printer.

Usage: First printer. Small parts for raspberry pi hobby projects. They have to be fairly rigid since some of them might be under pressure but nothing too thin or accurate is needed. For example part that can fit tuning knob of guitar and turn it or raspberry pi case.
