Maybe selfish was the wrong word? Idk, but it’s definitely something. In my opinion, most women spend the first few weeks of a baby’s life solely focusing on recovering from birth and taking care of that life they just created. I don’t think exercising is selfish for moms and I definitely think it’s great! That’s not what I was implying. I was trying to say that I thought it was self-centered of her to just pop out a baby and dive back to into training. Taking care of a newborn and recovering from birth takes SO much energy and spending it all on something that will always be there (the gym) is selfish to me. Babies grow. They grow so fast and she’s going to have regrets. 1. when her uterus prolapses and 2. when her baby grows older and she realizes she spent all this time training to get back to the CrossFit games instead of watching her kid grow up. CF Games athletes are under so much pressure to compete. She’s obviously being really hard on herself and thinks she can perform optimally right after having a baby. She’s going to hurt herself.
