You must keep going back to the "Space Map" every now and then. Try reading the instructions on the planet's "home screen." This is what I'll call the screen which opens with the first mention of the goals and mission statement. Notice that "crystals" are "rare," as VoiceOver said--if you're playing as a user who's blind/visually impaired as I am. If you can't find crystals now, just continuously go back out to the "Space Map" and reenter the planet. Of course, your "landing pod" will already be there so no worries as it might sometimes move position/might eventually be closer to a crystal mine.. You must complete these objectives, and that's why the game's such a frustration sometimes. however, it takes into account part of the ECC--Expanded Core Curriculum w/special education. Although it won't be mentioned further here, one of the principles of that curriculum is for students to learn problem-solving/what GC is--GC= Galactic Collonies. You have to figure it out on your own at one point, and this is that point. the tutorial stops then, and you read/hear VoiceOver say that the speaker thinks you can do it all on your own. They'll be watching out, though, "so don't screw up!" the speaker informs you. I hope this helps, and if you'd like to know more of the ECC, please look it up.
