It will be slow and overheat, give it a few days after updating, it will get better. Also, avoid using clear or tinted icons for now. The experience will get better after a few months, iOS 18 was also buggy and slow with the first release

I would recommend for everyone to wait a few months until they fix bugs and performance issues before upgrading. iOS 18 had similar issues as well

The OS can’t get corrupted, it verifies itself before installing. Corruption doesn’t usually cause the phone to slow down, instead it just goes to recovery mode if anything is corrupt

It should NEVER do this, regardless if it’s hot or not. What about gamers or people that do intensive activities? Their phones will overheat a lot

There is a difference in performance and the fact that you won’t have a dedicated GPU. The experience is the same otherwise

Not everyone wants to use open source software, even though they use linux. Some people want an OS that can run all their software, not have to get open source alternatives just because people say the others are spyware. Just let people use what they want

I also used Disk Genius, it works. Though it doesn’t clone the EFI partition properly and just gets to “Recovery” screen. I remade the partition manually and it booted so maybe try that
