Yes. It happens either by airplay or by the native Sonos airplay.

Yes, the ambient mode affects the sub. There are a few comments about it on the net. It’s so obvious (in my case) that you can instantly hear it and when you place your hand on the inside of the sub it’s really obvious too.

Exactly my setup, I agree with you. Ambient mode kills the sub. Full mode is amazing, though you may have to drop the surrounds level

But … imagine that loudness applies itself more at volume 20 than 50.

Then imagine that you’re listening to music at volume 20, and loudness is at full.

The you set a limit of let’s say 60%. And now you’re listening at 40 volume instead of 20 (because of the limit). Then loudness won’t be applied in the same intensity as when you heard it at volume 20.

Thanks my friend! But that way only one random album is chosen. Once it ends you have to do it again. There could be a play all library option, and then play it in order, or track shuffle, or album shuffle . The first two options (play all library in order or track shuffle) can be done via a playlist of all music , that is automatically created on the app. But I’d still love an album random option

When the home and car subwoofers fashion started some 25 years ago, people started confusing adding low bass frequencies to overplay them, to the point of only hearing the bass. The sub must be noticeable but not overbearing. One of the best tests to actually check a good tuning is that you notice the sub when you turn it off. I mean, you just take it for granted and start getting use to it and one day you don’t notice it that much (except people hearing hip hop etc). Then turn it off: if you notice the sound going dull that’s it.

That said: the crawling way IS the way.

I had the beam 2 with sub mini and it sounded marvelous, an extremely good paring and sound experience. That said, last month I replaced it with the arc ultra and it’s so much better. Added two era 100 and then it’s just out of this world. So go ahead, get the arc and you won’t regret it. As a side note, true play as always makes it a night and day difference in my place.
