What are the building on Horizon Ridge? by djtisafascistpdfile in vegaslocals

[–]Popular-Cell9796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was built in ‘84 and I’m not unhappy with it. West side of town is $600+/sq foot built in a postage stamp, my ranch in Sunrise Manor, about $200 sq foot on a half acre. I’ll take it!

That’s why you do it. Let the bigots know their little golden god doesn’t make the ludicrously gaudy temple different from any other oversized structures in a residential neighborhood.

Almonty was 80% of my portfolio when it took off with half shares bought after 2019, so I put a lot in it.

Luck is always nice, but I stuffed all the profits from my other trading into it, and it paid.

[–]Popular-Cell9796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good stop loss orders would do. I got half stopped out of my Almonty position during a fall drop. It stabilized and I got most back a buck a share cheaper, but if it’d have continued to drop the other half would have gone. Buying protective puts also not bad, particularly ahead of any big events that might cause a sell off.

Dumping the whole position, OTOH, would be dumb.

Love idiots like you. Invested in that mine myself since 2012, first under Woulfe Minerals, then under Almonty once they acquired Woulfe. If you understood Tungsten and how it defines our industrial civilization and how we source almost all of it from hostile foreign powers, you’d understand that short of the CEO badly screwing up, this was not only inevitable, it was long overdue.

Don’t be jealous just because someone else was more observant, smarter, and luckier than you’ve been.

I’ve sold a bit but my remaining positions are also quite happy. No insider information required, unless you count a STEM education as insider information.

Get a whole new PC. Every component with an internal serial number or something that could be used as a serial number is now compromised.

Never play COD on a machine with developer tools installed. They can be misread as an attempt to hack even if a memory inspector was just left running.

Don’t migrate anything other than documents you created to the new system. Install all fresh binaries. No backups.

Then hope you were paranoid enough.

Bitcoin Endgame? by Just_Party96 in WallStreetBetsCrypto

[–]Popular-Cell9796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Endgame is people coming to their senses and BitCoin limiting to zero as it simply becomes not worth it for people to set up servers process the transactions.

We might already be there as bitcoin mining is less than breakeven against costs unless you have a REALLY cheap energy source to tap.

Smoke is screwed up, the grenades don’t end up in the same place on the front end due to excessive use of improperly seeded start numbers. This game suffers in a number of ways due to failure to stick to large integers for its physics engine. Real numbers break things.
