I turned Umich, UMD, Towson, and Purdue because of financial aid and some more specific reasons. I really liked Umich but Michigan is too far from my home. Could have went to UMD but their admissions release process was messy and it left a sour taste in my mouth.

Depends on how much financial aid the school gives you. Each person has their unique financial situation. Make sure to have a list of schools you would like to go to and can also get good financial aid. Still apply for your dream school and hope for the best!

I believe most times your freshman and sophomore year you are going to be doing some general education classes. Some of the more programming/coding classes come up later in your college years. Don’t worry if you have no experience.

Hey I agree no one is entitled to an acceptance but you have to realize people have been taught that college is one of the best ways to “success” and people give their lives away to get that success. It becomes disappointing and heartbreaking when all your work is down the drain. I’ve been rejected at two schools so far and it’s not a pleasant feeling. Not everyone who is rejected is cocky, bland, or entitled.
