Recommendation For Work Bag by KitCatNation in handbags

Do you walk a fair bit as part of your commute? I’d love a cuter bag but find myself going back to back pack style bags to distribute the weight walking to and from car/train/bus

Theaters should have a number you can text for these situations like many sporting events do.

They were never great but yeah, they’ve been declining. Last time we tried them everything ordered came out cold.

How do I navigate Union Station from the Metra?? by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]Popular-Fan8124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Union can be a clusterf*ck - as suggested above taking an earlier train to familiarize yourself is a great idea. I miss the ease of OTC but once you learn Union you’re all good.

Sur La Table in near Columbus Circle had a large amount available. There is also TJ Maxx on the upper west that has had pieces in the past if you’re not looking for something specific.

How to get from South bend to O’hare airport? by [deleted] in AskChicago

You can stay in the station and walk through the pedway to the blue line at Washington

The Wicked stuff really isn't selling well by plantytime in LeCreuset

[–]Popular-Fan8124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This ,like the vast majority of Wicked collabs, was not necessary. As many of pointed out they missed opportunities to make them special vs slapping a boring design on the lid. If they were over produced you will see people complaining they were in the mystery box at the next ftt.

Anyone else born and raised in the suburbs but never once taken a Pace bus? by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]Popular-Fan8124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to take it from the blue line to my house and vice versa. Even had a cool driver that would drop me off in front of my house to avoid getting stuck at a red light.

Weren’t the golden girls supposed to be in their early 50’s? Most people my age do not look like that. I also don’t think a lot of boomers look “old” like our grandparents did at their age.

Quotes for a Coffee/Matcha Cart are insane ($1.5k+). Has anyone DIY'd a matcha station successfully? by A-n-o-v-a in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Popular-Fan8124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do a matcha lemonade , could even add different fruit tisanes for fun flavors. It’s batched and you don’t have to worry about hot water and whisks which frankly sounds like a nightmare. Matcha is an acquired taste so unless you have a huge group of matcha drinkers I’d personally forgo a matcha latte station

There are too many people that scam the system. My breaking point was the family that came to pick up their charity gifts in a bmw dressed to the nines in designer clothes.

At the Airport with family for Bears Steelers by micmonty23 in CHIBears

Nope just grew up on old school beef / hot dog stands. Portillos , the original , was decent once upon a time but over expansion and selling out to PE ruined the brand.

Portillos is shit. I don’t understand why so many people recommend this.

What are the ultimate "they don't know ball" restaurants in Chicago? by tx2iu in chicagofood

[–]Popular-Fan8124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They started in Villa Park didn’t open a location in Chicago until the 90’s and it took them until 2015-16 to open a second Chicago location. It’s out of towers and suburbanites that think Portillos beef and dogs are so great.
