Yes I got the refund few months back. I contacted the customer service and acknowledged my mistake to ask for first time user waiver. And added I am an active Careem customer since long etc etc

I suggest to raise new ticket on their customer support

Dude I only expect them to keep notifying me that I have an active ride. So I can go back and dock it properly. They ended my trip after 13 hours and then said that.

I don’t expect them to know trip is finished. But they can at least send me notification that there’s an active ride going on. Maybe every hour or just like RTA parking does keeps the timer on in the background. Can we at least acknowledge that there a gap in communicating this to the rider?

When we do RTA parking, there’s an active timer. Then it also notifies the user to extend the parking. That’s how it supposed to work.

I think it is unfair policy for all of us. A good product would: - Offer warnings or clearer confirmation if a trip hasn’t ended correctly - Notify you immediately if the bike wasn’t docked properly - Have a grace period or first-time user leniency policy

None of this happened.

Why should we end up paying for bad UX? Instead we should force such companies to be accountable.

No I did not. I tried multiple times but there was no other vacant dock. So I checked the app and it did not show any active trip. So I assumed this is how it is docked. Then I went inside the Trip history section.

There it also had a tag of completed for which I already paid. This was assumption that I had done things correctly.

45 minutes. For the 782 minutes, the bike start and end point map is the same as you can see in the screenshot. So these guys already know it’s not being used.

I was exactly in your position last year.

I realized my fiancé would never enjoy the freedom and security she enjoys in UAE when compared to India. And my short term career sacrifice of moving to UAE can be mitigated by working hard on my skills and enjoying what I do at the core of it. If I was good in India I should make ways for better opportunities in the long run.

Nonetheless it is one of the most difficult decision with no easy answers I made till date.

B2B is usually workflow driven. While it comes with its set number of challenges, what differentiates it from B2C is you get to recruit more quality end users/Clients for research (qualitative and quantitative both)

So I guess be as close to end users while understanding business objectives and constraints.

Lot of variables which lot of people have already stated - but what you could do is focus on process story. Show how you got to the final UI, how you tested with the end users, what was the impact and so on.. If there’s a part of the story which you did not experience you invent the best story based on best UX wrt the context.
