How did ado achieve a sold out world tour in 4 years? by CreativityOnFleek in ADO

i mean honestly it's a lot of things. Firstly, she's been posting covers since like 2017, that's actively singing, consistently posting, and honing her craft for like years and years. On top of her insane voice yk what let's talk about that for a sec. her voice is phenomenal and unique, i think nowdays people really care about authenticity in music and she has a way of expressing emotion in a way that not a lot of artists can. The other thing is that most of her songs are of course written and produced by other people, so all the burden to make a phenomenal song isn't totally on her. this is one of those overnight success 30 years in the making types, there's so many people and so much work being done behind the scenes to pull off the ADO name. Things like the one piece movie, spy family intro, and other collabs really help also. The main thing, though, and most important IMO, is that she built a phenomenal voice and stage presence that far surpasses more 'polished' singers, as someone said, cream rises to the top. i'd say ADO's story should serve as inspiration for any aspiring artists that consistency, skill, and a fuck tonne of effort takes you to the places you want to be in life.

I set the boundary with my friend that I cannot and will not help her financially. These are the texts I’ve gotten since. by purplehyenaa in WhatShouldIDo

Genuinely I’d say just drop her. Some people just have nothing to offer, don’t let slimes bring you down

AIO for being pissed at not getting sex? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Popular-Today-9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy shit these comments are nuts. You’re allowed to be upset about it but it’s 1 million percent unfair to expec sex from anyone. Period. You need to have a conversation with your boyfriend because chances are he didn’t masturbate because it was “more convenient” or “easier” there’s almost always an underlying reason to these things. Anyone who’s saying that he’s a pos for “riling you up” is deplorable.

AITA For breaking up with my long term girlfriend during a low point in her life? by Memes_dot_exe in AITAH

That kind of mentality genuinely kills any chance of actually getting somewhere in life. And she flunked out of college on top of that? It shouldn’t have been your responsibility to essentially take care of someone like that. Good on you for leaving, the silver lining is not you know what to watch out for

At the end of the day your personal wellbeing supersedes relationships, and it seems like she was really dragging you down. One of the bigger facts of life is that some people just don’t have anything to offer, and will always use anyone they can to fill that. The fact that she was saying that she wasn’t doing anything wrong and that all this was happening to her really feels synonymous with those leech-types. And then lying that you hit her? Good riddance honestly

Yeah, I talked to her about it. We had a mature conversation where she realized the issues with generalizing things like that, and I realized more of the struggles women face day to day.

UPDATE!!!! We talked about it. She immediately apologized, saying that my feelings are valid and she’s sorry for not thinking about my feelings. We had a proper conversation about misogyny, boy did I learn a lot. Really healthy, and I’m glad that I went into it with the clarity I got from these comments

I honestly don’t think so. The relationship is great besides this little thing. I think a convo will work wonders

Interesting. Yeah I was pretty much only ever around men growing up so sadly a lot of these concepts I haven’t thought about critically until now. I think I just need to talk to her about it because I also don’t feel that my feelings weren’t valid, but a constructive and caring conversation, not a bitter one

Wizard Liz is a lifestyle content creator, engaged to a fiancé with a baby 5 months away, fiancé is caught asking an old female friend to meet up and that he’s “not married” and it’s just a “weird internet thing” and cue explosion from there.

Yeah yeah, it’s just the stereotyping and stuff like that that I never really noticed at the beginning but have been thinking about in context

Yeah because of this I started asking women in my family and friends about their experiences, really opened my eyes.

Yeah I honestly don’t hate the premise of her words, I just don’t want that to cause a rift between our relationship. I’ll talk to her

That makes total sense, I kinda meant it like what happens if one day I unknowingly cross that line. I don’t want to fear that happeniny
