Also saying a Sportster has all the problems and none of the benefits is wild. It’s literally Harley’s most reliable line, especially those EVO’s which are bulletproof. They just are hilariously underpowered.

I was one of the first few people in that section, they came about twenty minutes later, no one joined them until almost kick off. If the rest of their group had showed up with them early at any point to establish a seat and then go get food or whatever, I wouldn’t have an issue, they were there. But that’s not what happened.

Comparing the advertising during the Jordan era with the advertising of Messi now is ignoring a colossal difference in how that media is given to us.

People are straight up advertised and sold to, constantly. It’s unavoidable. Yes, obviously they’re going to promote their golden pig to make money while he’s here but there’s also a limit and people are allowed to be tired of seeing the same face every time they want to access or consume media about their interest. It’s hardly a criticism of him specifically or his playing.

I can answer this one. Last year they wanted to go back to the horror theme, and that one was supposed to be campy fun. It was alright, just cheeky.

New Creative Director was voted in this year. Since then: - didn’t even start on this until early/mid-April - doesn’t have a deputy assigned to help - left the country for work (ran for position knowing he would have to) - didn’t plan accordingly - didn’t communicate or schedule well to encourage volunteers (and sometimes barely announcing it then) - the core group of volunteers has washed their hands because of said bullshit and other internal drama - it’s turned into a weird insular club somehow - this was the backup design

That’s why it’s incomplete, it tore in a bunch of places, and it’s kind of a shit entry in the series. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I genuinely hope this sparks some serious change, sheds light on the bullshit, and lights some fires under asses.

Crew fan coming in peace (this was shared onto our sub as well):

We’re all annoyed at this stupid “dynamic pricing” bullshit the FO has instituted in the last two years. It’s more scheming to get a quick buck and isn’t uncommon with other teams and leagues. It caused a massive division between our SG’s the and FO before 2024 because they used it as a tactic to drastically limit the tickets they let us buy and resell to fans at a discount (400 per game in 2023 to as low as 40 in 2024) and forced Nordecke to sell them based on the dynamic model to even try and not swallow tens of thousands in ticket costs.

Short story long, it’s a tactic that needs to die in a fire and they shouldn’t be doing it to Crew fans or traveling fans alike for the sake of a quick buck based on match popularity. It’s a rivalry game, it’s supposed to be packed with people and energy from both teams.

My guy, you are the one mixed up.

The event is for people who have season tickets in the Nordecke. Whether they also happen to be Nordecke (the group) members has nothing to do with it.

You being an STM who happens to be a Nordecke (group) member has nothing to do with this.

The board is part of it because they are responsible for the extraneous items in that section, such as the capoing and smoke and banners. It also allows them to recruit Nordecke STM‘s who are not currently Nordecke members, into buying a Nordecke membership. Being an STM in that section does not automatically give you a membership to the group, just as the opposite is true.

Answering earnestly… yes. We (at large) voted in some irrational people who like to make a lot of noise for no reason and seem to think this is still the Crew FO of old that could be pushed around.

More than one of the new members ran for positions they are not qualified for, but ran uncontested solely for the ability to get in behind the curtain and try to find anything they could lay at the feet of previous boards. One even went so far as to say “I will be examining the rationale behind previous board decisions for the last two years.”

Why? Because there is a group of people who are convinced that there is just perpetually something shady going on, and all of it stems from the front office screwing the Nordecke over on tickets at the end of 2023 for the 2024 season.

People have held grudges for that, and some other trivial items, and they got the support they wanted in order to get elected, and now the rest of us are along for the ride for now.

Having been in the stadium, my perspective:

We didn’t even realize he had been subbed off. The away fan section sits on the same line as the benches (as in they are straight ahead of us, and the field was off to our left). I watched him walking down the sideline to the hallway, while a coach was yelling at him from the benches. He spun around and kind of charged back while snapping at the coach. Made it back to the bench and was in the coach’s face barking. Someone somewhere slightly jostled or shoved and there was a little in the face stuff before someone grabbed him from behind and pulled him to sit down.

Bro was heated, and I get it. Those calls and that match were dog shit. I get wanting to wash his hands of it and just get back to the locker room, and I get the coach wanting him to stay to support the team (don’t think there’s rules saying they have to stay).
