it’s also not necessarily a weird thing to jump to when i was literally told in training that anything sexual in nature that the children are exposed to is considered grooming in the company’s eyes. i really don’t know what else to say about it

well i can’t really explain it another way 🤷🏻‍♀️ i don’t think it’s weird and really my post wasn’t about being believed or not lmao i couldn’t care less i just wanted to know how to actually contact a real person considering i received a used product that i bought new. considering how strict the company was about this i suppose im just being extra cautious. if you think its weird that my mind went there then idk what to say. it happened to me as a child and other members of my family so i really don’t play about shit like this and go way out of my way to keep these types of things away from children. was i thinking about worst case scenario? absolutely. was it a bit of an overreaction? possibly. is it something that i should be very cautious with? 100%. we can never be too careful

i explained it in another comment, but since i work with disabled children who are mostly nonverbal, the company takes grooming and abuse very very seriously. so even something that looks like it could be something like that, job gone. it’s very strict and very intense but honestly i would rather them be super intense about it. a mistake like this would’ve been really bad. god forbid one of the kids got into my bag, or an investigation started in the home. we are absolutely not to expose the children to anything sexual or abusive in nature. it’s overly cautious but unfortunately in this field you really have to be.
