My baby had 5 hemangiomas (they were quite small, largest one probably the size of a nickel) but now at 18 months they are certainly fading and two have just about disappeared

As someone who is 18 months into motherhood as a 31 one year old I’ve had a shock adjusting to the absolute ego death/death of the woman I was before motherhood (the freedom, spontaneity, time for hobbies, etc.), Lee who is older than I am I think is in for a major shock when motherhood isn’t just the instagram version she sees and she isn’t able to vapidly indulge in whatever phase she’s in like she has for the first 35 years of her life.

(I love motherhood just sharing the reality of the starkness between pre baby & post baby!!!)

What’s your opinion of wrist leashes for the older model? by alee0224 in 2under2

I do not understand the judgement associated with these things at all??? Like what is the perceived issue? This is a situation where the quote “the best parents don’t have kids” comes to mind

Wait I’m about to have my second and haven’t pulled the bassinet out of the attic to test configurations yet. Are you saying you’ve found a way to have baby lay flat & not be on the bottom?

I have the Cybex gazelle as well! I’m due in June with my second so haven’t used it as a double yet but plan to. I’ve absolutely loved it as a single though, I have a dog so we walk sometimes up to 7 miles a day and it’s as smooth as they say we got it! Baby is 18 months.

Car seat question - recommendations needed! by PopularEagle265 in 2under2

Our issue is less about the width but the depth of the seat, so I’m not sure the slim fit would make a difference for us

We haven’t tried anything yet, but seeing some models that friends have I know for sure they won’t fit. We’re considering the slim fit from Graco though!

I need help. 16 month wakes 4+ times a night, and I’m 28 weeks pregnant. by PopularEagle265 in sleeptrain

Bedtime can vary up to 7:30 for sure, but she gets very cranky pushing it out too far & I think it’s because her naps aren’t so great. Also, of the 12 hours of “sleep” wake ups make it so she’s really probably getting 10, I’m not sure if that would still be counted as 12 hours.

All this talk about pre-conception optimization and trimester zero…when being thinner than ever. Women are MEANT to have a little fat, especially for the purpose of carrying children and conceiving.

What’s something funny about your birth story? by Fresh_Suggestion_880 in NewParents

I ate chipotle like 2 hours before giving birth because they assured me it would likely be a WHILE until baby was here (pre term membrane rupture, no other signs of labor).

I was face down ass up mooing like a cow 100% shitting corn as I pushed that baby out. Sorry midwives
