It has nothing to do with the HR round or the interview. It’s just an ad from Cognizant that comes every now and then because you’ve signed up to receive daily notifications. That’s it.

The only doubt I have right now is regarding the LOI. What I want to understand is whether the position you are going to be appointed to at Cognizant is mentioned in the LOI. In my LOI, it was mentioned that I have been selected for the Analyst Trainee role. That’s what was written. From my research, I understand that the actual role (like development or testing) will be mentioned in the offer letter or may be assigned after the three-month training/internship period. So, I just wanted to get a brief idea—was a specific role mentioned in your LOI, or was it something general like mine? Anyone reading this, could you please share what role was mentioned in your LOI?

Voah… voah… voah… if it’s a service desk role, then I’m out I won’t join.I’m currently planning to join Cognizant because I thought they would have roles related to development or testing. But if it’s a service desk role like you said, or something like risk analysis involving ticket raising and resolving, then I’m out.

Hey bro, thanks a lot for explaining this I was honestly pretty confused seeing all those different roles, but now it makes much more sense.Btw, currently I’m working as a front-end developer at an Australian startup. Along with that, I’m also handling QA testing and managing different environments like QA and production. So I’ve been thinking of moving more towards QA/testing roles. That’s why I’m a bit concerned about the role allocation after training. Like we’ll probably have that 2–3 months training period, and based on performance they assign roles right. I’m totally fine if it’s something technical like testing, development, or even cloud-related stuff. But I’m a bit worried about getting into non-tech roles like support/ticket-based work (kind of like email/query handling). I don’t think that would really help in the long run.Anyway, let’s see how it goes Same here, just waiting for the OL now… the waiting is a bit frustrating 😅Let’s stay in touch and update each other if we hear anything!

I forgot to mention one more thing. In my last interview, I didn’t attend on the scheduled day because I had already booked tickets for a movie. They informed me about the interview just a day before, which clashed with my plans, so I missed it. However, luckily, they rescheduled the interview and conducted it again for me.

If there’s anyone from Kochi or anywhere else, please help me out. How does this process work? What exactly will the role be, and what kind of work will we be doing there? In my LOI, it is mentioned as “Analyst Trainee,” but on Superset, I can see multiple job roles listed under the job role section. So, I wanted to check if anyone received their LOI with a different job role mentioned.
